The Maestro has written another book

I’ll bet Robert’s book is one of those fancy ones, with page numbers!

Page numbers? How bourgeois.

Can someone explain what Netflix has to do with this?

The French film “Cuties”, was picked up by Netflix for International distribution and caused controversy because the initial marketing material employed by them was perceived as being “sexual in nature”, which led to a lot of uproar and death threats against the filmmaker.

Thank you! And here I was thinking it was going to be the gay knock-off Hallmark movie or something

Hallmark is actually doing Gay Christmas movies now and Netflix is doing them too. Ironically, both employ the same production companies and crews to make their competitive fare, when it comes to their rom-com stuff made in Canada.

Video of NP Musical Freestyle??

Correction, a demo of NP riding style by someone able to demonstrate it in all its “not how its done” while not ruining that magnificent horse.

If NP could ride 1/10 as well as the hilarious Brett Kidding, we wouldn’t be discussing him.

“45 degree halt, a high degree of difficulty”

So that’s what Maestro was trying for with that cocked leg crooked halt.

Always funny, but what a saint of a horse to put up with the shenanigans.

So very well trained! If anyone could put that kind of training on a horse, it would be Tristan Tucker. I’ve tried, albeit not terribly hard, to get information about the horse, but have had no luck.

Tristan Tucker as Brett Kidding is a perfect counterpoint to dressage stuffiness. I would love to know more about his beautiful black horse.

He still thinks that Dressage Hub is on his side and isn’t just using him for clicks and money:

“Dressage Hub is the only media source that has covered my book.”

Uh, Sir Maestro, I’d like to make two points with regard to this absurd statement:

  1. Dressage Hub only “covered” your book because you paid for it. (As an aside, are you sure that money was well spent, considering the derisive comments you received?)

  2. Contrary to what you believe, your book was covered quite thoroughly on the Chronicle of the Horse. Granted, it was done here in the forum, but it was indeed covered very, very thoroughly.

Which leads to the question - WHY would any media outlet cover the “Chevys Cup at Devon”?
How is this news worthy anywhere?
Lots of awards are given out at lots of shows that are not covered even on horse related platforms.

Edit - Tangent question. English skilled people would this award be Chevy’s Cup?

The only time dressage or any non-racing horse sport gets national media coverage (aside from scandals like widespread horse killing for insurance fraud, attempted murder, and the like) is during the Olympics. It gets precious little air time even then.

Dressage at Devon probably gets a few column inches in the paper, maybe a short filler blip on the local news.

But as always, Nick doesn’t let reality get in the way of his “I’m a victim” narrative.

This reminds me, DH and I are foregoing gifts this year, but Robert Dover’s book should be on my Birthday list for sure.
