The Maestro has written another book

But he’s personalizing the inscriptions, goddammit. There goes the collectible value.

Maybe he can do an in-person book signing. At Dressage at Devon.

But the Maestro was so good, and his horse too perfect, that he never wore a helmet except for the two recognized shows he competed in.
Falling off is for bathrobe-wearing basement dwellers.

I’m not a fan of that meme at all. It implies that people who stand up for ethical training are ignorant couch riding freaks and is implies Totilas’ training was ethical.

OMG, this video reminds me so much of those old L. Ron Hubbard commercials for ‘Dianetics!’

Fezzik?! Is that you?!

You can stop pretending to be a fearsome figure now, pal.

His refusal to wear a helmet explains an awful lot …

He tried to torpedo the Minute Rice risotto review of his first book. It disappeared, then went back up.

As a national steward for BD I’ve seen CDJ (and CH and other Team GB riders) offer help, support and sympathy to other riders, of ALL ages and standards at competitions. In a similar way I have had Olympic riders take time out of their extremely busy days to give advice when walking a xc course or a little positive comment in the warmup (very very grassroots level competitor) and then remember you when they see you later and ask how you’ve got on.

Somehow I can’t imagine ‘The Maestro’ acting in a similar way…

That’s probably for the best.

Yes! A future Olympian once gave me advice in a warm-up at a particular show because I was obviously there without a trainer. I was so grateful and it really helped.

I’m sure none of these people write books about how they’d have been Olympians or top riders earlier if not for online communities. I’m sure none of them write about how many people wronged them on their way up or when their career temporarily stalled. I’ve yet to see a video posted with ominous music saying “THIS IS THE BOOK” that discredits all of dressage.

The Maestro wouldn’t act in a similar way. But then again, he doesn’t have much to offer people, so there’s that. I doubt ANYONE who has posted on this thread EVER has an average score at recognized shows as low as Nick does. I’d likely bet money on that.

I just don’t get it. He exposes nothing, and no one e, because he names no one,nor any places, so what is he exposing? And I just can’t get past his bizzare features.

Who is he actually exposing?

Only himself

Maybe swamptown? A vendetta against CoTH because of his failed lawsuit? The failures of s. 230? All portrayed through the eyes of the ultimate victim.

He needs to learn to play the violin…. The Violin Vendetta.
