The Maestro has written another book

Some people seem to think that bouncing up and down on a horse will encourage the horse to bounce up and down, too.

Nick’s an adult?

Is this video really NP ?

Yes, that’s Maestro and poor Chevy.
The impetus for his not-paid-for Devon award.

OH. MY. LORD!
That is appalling!

But…but, but, it’s BITLESS!!!

A bit won’t help -
That horse needs to be rescued!

The saddest part about the Nick vid is that he was so proud of his performance when he posted it, and was completely oblivious to the fact that it is godawful until people fell off their horses laughing.

If he’d been 14 at the time he posted it, I’d have felt sorry for him. but as a seelf-nominated Maestro, the fact that he was unable to perceive it was all the evidence anyone needed that his credentials were forged.

No, that’s piaffe according to NP, Silly!

Yeah, ultimately he admitted that his attempts at piaffe aboard Chevy, as documented in this video, was not as grandiose as he first believed. I think he stated this in his book, but maybe it was online somewhere.

This fleeting moment of humility was short lived, of course, because his feats aboard Chevy are what he’s alluding to when claiming he has trained horses to GP.

Do you not recognize the greatness of the Maestro aboard his self-trained GP Appaloosa? It is the one and only, for real. This is what he’s so proud of and points to as proof of what a dressage prodigy he was…can’t make this stuff up!

Sorry. I scroll through this forum intermittently l. Don’t know NP. Never heard of him until the forum …. That video hurt my being - That poor horse. Who would allow someone to do that to their horse. Who rides like that, without a trainer in the ring telling them to STOP I am baffelled by this and now understand why y’all are discussing this page. People actually think he knows what he is doing? That video is horrific! On all levels of training. Just WOW.

If I remember correctly, once he became aware that the video was not impressing anyone, he claimed that the monkey/football video was taken in the early stages of training Chevy to piaffe and was intended to provide feedback to NP so he could see what he was feeling. I think he claimed that Chevy became better at piaffe, but of course, he sadly did not have any videos to demonstrate the progression.

It’s awful from the condition of the horse-- their fitness and musculature, which is developed over time, and then the whole NP thinks that he has a clue part. When I was riding hunters and jumpers, back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, I had someone tell me that it takes a year, minimum, to put a topline on a horse correctly. I laughed at them. They were right.

Forged? Nah. Fantasy. Really. This guy has no foot in reality. And more’s the pity, because any fool who lets him near their horse allows him to essentially abuse their animal.

I believe in this case GP stands for Go Poo. Since horses are gonna do that anyway, he can pretend to take credit.

EXACTLY! He first posted it showing his transformative training skills. He later backtracked when people were commenting and said this was at the earlier stage of Chevy’s GP training and he didn’t have a video from their later stages.

Oh @Danvers, you are clearly a newbie to dressage. He is showing classical dressage skillz on an off-breed and is successfully trotting in place and even backwards for a few steps! That’s expert level! Also, he has trained with the best because he was a prodigy, but ALL of his trainers became jealous of his skillz and gifts, and took away rides and stopped really teaching him. They were all so mean because they were jealous.

It’s ALL outlined in his book, which you should read. We had a few copies floating around within the Dressage forum, where people would send the book to the next person who wanted to read it, and then they’d send it on. We did this to spread Nick’s story far and wide to us poor, tragic people in the dressage forum who live in our parents’ basement, never change out of our bathrobes and slippers, and just type on COTH all day. Maybe someone can send you a copy so you can see how the Modern Dressage World specifically targets Nick and his reins of silk.

<cough, cough, cough>
