The Maestro has written another book

He isn’t good enough to be mediocre. That would imply that he actually works at something, but doesn’t succeed. There is no work involved here.

Correct. Just deluded, not mediocre.

Now, me? I’m mediocre I’ve worked really hard to learn to ride almost adequately.

If he were a dressage score, a generous, charitable judge would give him a “4” for “insufficient”; he definitely doesn’t meet the requirements for a “5” (“marginal”.)

Arguably, he should earn a 3: “fairly bad” - or a 2 - “very bad.”

One could not give him a “1” for “not performed” because he does ride - a lawnmower.

However, I don’t think he can do “airs” with it unless he pops a wheelie…

:grinning: Almost adequate, I love it, same here, and yes I have worked hard!

Moanings of the Maladroit Minestrone Maestro of Minute Rice Risotto and the Mower Monologues?

No, I think you’re right. It was super creepy but that isn’t outside the norm for him.

Someone had a screenshot, I think, but I can’t remember who or in which thread.

MMMMMmmmmmmm….good. :rofl::rofl:

OK, I’m up to the point where he gets married, gets “crushed” by a young horse on the morning of his wedding, and a bit beyond. He’s just gotten “scammed” by two women after renting stalls from them.

I swear, the only women on Earth who like him seem to be his mother and his wife. If he could just avoid ALL THOSE OTHER WOMEN his life would be fine.

Oh, the apostrophe abuse!

As I near the end of this tome, I discover more spelling and grammatical errors. His editors did not help him at all. At. All. Perhaps he argued with them that’s how he talks – and he did state at the beginning of the book he wished to present his story in a conversational manner. Well, OK. There’s that.

Funny how most of the AWFUL HORSE PEOPLE are WOMEN as listed in one of the final chapters. I feel so guilty about being a WOMAN. I might be one of those AWFUL ones.

I consider that an achievement.

I’d automatically be suspicious of anyone Nick deemed worthy of praise.

One of those editors is his child, I think. A young adult.

Oh, then you must love how he defended his numerous errors by claiming he had three editor’s.

I believe one of his editors was from a different country where English was not their first language and another was his daughter. The third could have possibly been his wife but I’m not sure.

I believe he referred to them as his three “editor’s.”

I still wonder if the poor sap who he accused of writing the original Forward ever received a copy.

How do I get on the list for one of these “written in the margin” copies?

I spoke with one girl who hosted him out in Iowa. I remember her name, but I’m not going to post it here. The host of the clinic said when he arrived that he asked her to find him someone to hook up with while he was there because he was in a different zip code from his wife, hah hah hah. He also came on to one of the clinic participants, who was actually minor. The girl was very upset about it. She also said that he took two showers a day and one was during a clinic break. She was particularly creeped out by that. She said he insisted on cooking a meal for them, which was not very good but he made a big deal about it, I think it was spaghetti. She also said they had offered him plane tickets, but he said he wanted to drive out, which she found odd, but hey. She had to offer most the participants back their clinic fees because the clinic was so awful. She called to tell him that, and he said he had to call her back and she could never get him on the phone after that, or to answer an email. She said it was the craziest, worst experience, and really felt duped.

He wrote a story about his parents coming to America in the third person present tense, which is very awkward to read, and switched tenses to first person past tense back and forth. It was a mess. He included a lot of detail about how his mother was abused by her father but how the family forgave him and revered him anyway. It was shudderingly sad, but he presented all of it, including the abuse, with delight and comments about how the man was admired anyway. It was disturbing.

He is clearly sick and depraved, It would almost be sad if he weren’t so despicable.
