If he were actually reading that book, his lips would be moving.

To be fair to Ms. Marchman, it is possible to have a lifelong passion for something without any plans to be at the top of the game. And at least she has been out there trying and wanting to learn, regardless of what level she rides. The chestnut horse she rode looked like an angelâŠnice mover and a packer type that could cover for mistakesâŠa good soul to learn on. Iâm not going to knock someoneâs riding when they are at least riding and trying, no matter their success level.
My only concern with her is that she didnât do her research on NP and either doesnât know (or worse, doesnât care) that he is a total fraud and has none nothing he claims outside of owning an Appaloosa and a bay TB mare. She clearly doesnât seem to care that he has harassed several people, been nasty on the phone and online with them, has lied about farms and all his credentials. Due diligence is important and she didnât do any.
All valid points, same as for the Idaho woman. I truly doubt that she wrote the Foreword, esp. considering the remark about middle-aged women.
I can understand why a therapist would suggest a client write down their experiences as seeing something in print can bring a better perspective. I am absolutely perplexed as to why they would write such a foreword and expect to retain any professional credibility.
Well, rumor has it that if you bought the book you get a t-shirtâŠ
But sure, weâll let you in. The secret password for the next meeting is: levade.
Maybe now that she is retired she does not care if she keeps any professional credibility.
Is my memory correct that, at some point in the past, Nick requested people send him a picture of themselves, maybe holding a newspaper or touching their nose or some other ridiculous thing, in order to gain admittance to some group he had? Anyone remember something like that?
I do recall something like that. I wonder why the paranoia? (actually, I donât wonder at all. )
Same with not permitting any videoing or cell phones at clinics. When I ride in a clinic I always want video of my ride if possible so I can take the lesson home with me to review. NP as âclinician/instructorâ not allowing it looks a lot like trying to hide something. I wonder what that something could be?
The first word, for cryinâ out loudâŠ
When he was casting about trying to find someone to let him borrow their schoolmaster, one of his conditions was that be allowed to ride only without supervision. The owner was supposed to put their valuable and no doubt much-loved companion into the hands of a complete stranger, based only on Nickâs assurances that he is a qualified, experienced rider and horseman. Not like they could verify his claims with a trainer or a show record.
Iâm sure heâs puzzled that his request didnât net him a string of horses to ride at his leisure.
The woman to whom the foreward is attributed retired from her profession and moved out of state. Nothing about the foreward reads like itâs composed by a therapist or indeed an educated person.
Does anyone know anything about the health of the woman? I am not suggesting stalking, but if sheâs had health issues and isnât likely to be on social media NP might feel safe in just faking this. Itâs the kind of outright lie he seems known for.
She âlikedâ several of his posts in FB Nick Peronace Dressage Jockstraps. I think she just got fooled and bought his schtick.
Nah he actually tagged her in his earlier post. Sheâs on FB and legit endorsed his book.
Wow. I Googled her and if I got the right person, she presents as a dedicated lower level ammie buying nice horses, going to clinics, and having a very positive attitude. Not the kind of person who you would think would buy into NPâs incompetent persecution dilemmas.
Schrodingerâs Facebook groupâŠ
Nick has inspired several such groups. Now you see them, now you donât.
This is the most unprofessional statement put out by someone who considered herself âa professionalâ. Either Nick heavily edited it and she doesnât care or she was absolutely a terrible family counselor. Oh, one needs a PhD to be a psychotherapist. She only has a MA. She is NOT a psychotherapist. She even introduces herself as a licensed Marriage and Family therapist.
My money is on Nick heavily editing that. Although I could be unpleasantly surprised.
LOLâŠand looking to use a schoolmaster, after dissing every other rider that did just that.
I havenât been on COTH in a while and just read this entire thread. What a ride.
Itâs pretty hilarious that the âforwardâ (sorry Nick, I know you didnât realize itâs actually called a foreword until many people pointed out how illiterate you sounded) insists that all the middle aged women in Swamp Town have personality disorders without recognizing that Nicky P himself is one big cluster of cluster B traits.
