The "NO REINSTATEMENT" thread.

I wasn’t kidding about the two-week posting vacations, folks.

Anyone else want to test the boundaries on this?

Actually his main digs are GP Village in Wellington, unless he has moved out.

I keep telling you folks that each of those suspended has the right under the rules to petition for reinstatement as each received a specific letter telling him/her what they needed to do to be reconsidered. Further, you shouldn’t be signing a petition if you are not even a USEF member, otherwise you look like you are just an animal rights terrorist. If your only response is to tell folks how many posts I have made on these 56 pages [6], then maybe you should try an add something or else just turn your computer off.

It’s your recent posts where you are harassing other people about how they spend their time which is none of your business are even less worthy.

The more you protest and get concerned about what other people are doing the more it leads people to believe that this is hitting pretty close to home for you.

Turning my computer off is not an option, since it’s part of what I do for a living. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Then add something to the conversation by staying on the issues…quit getting personal or go back to trying to make a living.

Sorry I’ve been away for a while guys. Believe it or not I’m slammed with work!!

To answer a few questions:

1 - YOU DO NOT have to be a USEF member to sign. However - putting only your first name means we will have to delete your signature, so please provide your FULL name and an e-mail address.

2 - If USEF reinstates these people anyway, this thing is going to the USOC. So I’d love to see signatures from ALL areas of the equestrian community, even if you’re just a pleasure rider. Please keep crossposting.

3 - Yes, PEOPLE CAN SIGN PRINTED COPIES . Send them to Snowbird or me - we can work out the details of getting them together later.

4 - Finally, your thought for the day. Has YOUR trainer signed it?? My current one has; but interestingly, two of my former ones have not. As a client, this would frankly make me a little bit nervous. It strikes me that trainers who do not sign are basically saying “I reserve to myself the right to kill horses for insurance money at some future time…”

Showpony - Don’t just send it to the equestrian staff at Ethel Walker. Go all the way to the top.

Many, MANY thanks to all y’all for your support!!

Let me ask you all this…WHY would Paul even want to be on showgrounds at all on off-days???

With all due respect, Chanda, you were what, about 10 yrs old at the time?

I have trouble believing that a ten yr. old could remember accurately anything that was going on in the adult world so many years later.

And I don’t know ANY ten yr. olds that would be anything less than horrified to learn that someone with so much influence could stoop to such low actions. They certainly wouldn’t be as forgiving as you would seem to have been at that age. Things are a little more black and white to an ordinary ten yr. old.

Can people sign a printed out copy? I have some friends who would like to sign, but do not have email addresses. Also, I was thinking about bringing a printed out copy to shows for signatures…Or, should I copy/paste out the “online” part?

OK! so those are the two we missed and it proves why we need this campaign to grow. It is evident that the Hearing Committee considered them rehabilitaed and reformed unless they hear from all of us.

Who has time to take attendance from the list and see how many others may be back in business.

Harry you’re right this is not the time to stop…it’s the time to start.

That doesn’t mean I can write off the loss on the old car the way I could if I were running a car rental business.

If you have a business you can depreciate your vehicles that are used for the business for so many years.

Most of you are well-spoken, rational adults.

Now we can argue about who doesn’t fall into the “most” category.

You seem to think that if it is legal then it is o.k. to do it…no personal sense of right and wrong…if the speed limit says 55 then by God pedal to the metal we will do 55 regardless of the conditions or what otherwise [to someone who is using the thinking part of their brain] appears correct. Sounds like the Nazis are in charge…just pass the law saying it is legal to kill the jews…and it is o.k. to you. You don’t get it.
I knew you liberals were running this petition drive…a bunch of crazed animal rights terrorists. Petitioning is fine if you want to push your point of view. But recognize it is just that…we must follow the Rules, remember. That is what is “legal” here. These folks were suspended for a time, not forever. They, just an any athlete in any sport controlled by the Intl Olympic Committee has appeal and reinstatement rights…you want those rights to kill your baby, but won’e give a lesser right to someone else? Proving my point once again.

What a bunch of malarkey. My point was devoid of anything except to point out that comparing one crime to a legal act (right choice or wrong is up to each individual) is nonsense. How you go from horse killing, to abortion, to speeding, to Nazis, to liberals, and “animal rights terrorists” is a mystery to me. To each their own I guess…

To be frank, PV’s opinion in or “out” of bounds is not one I respect. Therefore those who tell me “I rode with PV” actually step down IMO from a person who comes from a lesser name. Working to the “letter schmetter” reflects not only upon yourself but those with whom you associate. Killing horses for insurance fraud is not cool, and hanging with the “killing” crowd is not cool…and why do we have to splain killing healthy horses isn’t cool anyway. George Morris complains of the swaybacked, leave early, high crested equitation riders from the 80’s on, and so many credit PV with accolades from this, maybe it’s truely natural selection to pan out the posers who would “kill for it” to the true artists.

xegeba- I can answer that.

One is legal and one isn’t.

One is done by a method that the AVMA states is humane and the other ways aren’t (Especially the crow bar one).

One is a person who is fairly open about what they do and accept that there are those that don’t like it. The other is a cowardly worm that works in the cover of darkness, never admitting what they did.

One is doing it as a job or to make ends meet. The other is lacking morals, and empathy and is killing the horse out of greed and ego.

“what is the definition of horse murder?”

To me it would be the reason for the killing. If it is for the financial gain and ego, it would be murder. If it is in the best interest of the horse (pain? quality of life?), or maybe human safety with a dangerous horse, or even a horse that you can no longer provide a comfortable existence for, that is different. Murder is the lack of caring about the animal, and the illegal financial gain because of it.

Oh! Good…Im down to les than 50 which is good I can re-order soon. Let them multiply and chase PV around the world.[B]
OOPS! fixed it

WA…I didn’t know that anyone had been reinstated already. Would you mind telling us who that is?

Nancy Banfield. That discussion was on another thread, if I remember right.

Well, even if he does get reinstated, it doesn’t necessarily end there.

I’ll try to draft something up this evening & see what you all think of it.

ahhh let’s all take a moment and pick the keys off our keyboards… then back to the topic…BTW…I still have ALL my keys.

And since you don’t think the USEF should answer the public…let me enlighten you …

USEF The National Governing Body(NGB) for the Equestrian Sport by virtue of their application dated April 1,2003 answers to the USOC aka The U.S. Olympic Committee. “The U.S. Olympic Committee is a federally chartered non-profit corporation accountable to the American people and Congress.”

I hope we can resolve this “in house” because it is a media “no brainer”. Lucky for us our wellies and sh8ty smell will make news if this gets out. Think about it…our most popular video for our sport is when we fall. Go ahead and eat cake ringside, just keep an eye for the camera, which by the way is as small as the button of your shirt.

I don’t think it’s ever actually right to defraud an insurance company. To me it makes no difference whether one makes a false horse claim or cheats on their taxes. Crime is crime. No one who cheats the insurance companies or federal gov’t can ever complain about how high rates or taxes are these days. It’s partly because of the insurance scammers that everyone else has to suffer high insurance rates.
