The perfect boot socks..

I’m looking for a sock that is cushier/padded in the foot (think Western boot cushy). However, I would also like them to be Zocks thin over the calf to the knee.

Are there such socks out there?

Noble equine makes a sock with a padded foot and the thin uppers.

I was going to suggest Noble Outfitter’s “peddies” as well. I have a pair and they are comfy, but the “zock” portion isn’t as strong as regular zocks. Mine got a run in them the first time i used them.

These are the BEST SOCKS EVER. I am slowly converting all of my winter boot socks to these. They are great! The only thing that is annoying is that they are just a touch big in the foot for me, but other than that they are AMAZING!

Another vote for the Noble peddies.

I used to wear a normal sport sock under my boot socks but now that I have the peddies - that’s not longer necessary!

I’ve found the opposite to be true, the upper portion has held up so much better than zocks for me!

I do love the socks though. The ones that are solid colors seem to have a thicker padded foot than the ones with designs to me.

Mine are patterned so maybe that’s why. I’ll have to try a solid pair!

How far up on the foot is the cushy part? Due to some extreme surgery on my ankle I have some hardware that sticks out a little bit right on the pointy part of the ankle bone and needs something thicker than Zock fabric.

Jo they would be borderline for you on the padding going high enough. I guess it depends on how big your foot is! That said I think your best bet would be some equifit gel bands. They don’t move, and give great shock absorption and padding.

I use those socks for showing, too. They’re great under tall boots. I school in the thicker-type socks (Tuff Rider, Ovation) for schooling since I mostly wear half chaps. But those Noble Outfitters are really nice.

Another vote for Noble Outfitter Peddies. I used them for showing this summer (my first show season, yay!) and they were very comfortable. They’ve also held up well, too.

Another vote for the Noble peddies. I got a pair for Christmas and I just love them.

I only use the noble ones. I absolutely love them! They are padded past the ankle. I do find the the solid pairs tend to be thicker so I tend to buy those.

I use regular thin boot socks and then put on a second pair of peddies/low socks in the thickness and material suiting the weather.

I have multiple pair of Ariats and they’re great! They may not be quite as thin as Zocks at the top but they still aren’t thick and they aren’t hot at all. The bottoms of them are also very cushy and comfortable!

Peddies–I wear them with a pair of boots that it too loose in the foot but tioght in the calf.

All of nobles socks are like this. I’ve got a pair of “the best dang boot sock” and the thinsulate ones (can’t remember what they are called" and both are warm and padded at the foot. They do run a little big though.

Love the noble’s socks!

One more vote for Peddies - and nice padding at the ankle!

As if you don’t have enough votes for the Noble Outfitters peddies, I’m going to chime in and say that I absolutely love these!
