I’ll update the title once we’ve chosen a name.
I snapped some pictures this afternoon, and thankfully, he looks better in pictures than in person. He unloaded at 0 dark 30 this morning. Once it was light out, you could see how sunken in and thin he is. He has a bunch of smaller abrasions on his body, and his feet are going to give my farrier a run for their money.
Thankfully, he loads and unloads like a pro, leads kinda, and is eating and drinking very well. He is trying so hard to be good and has a kind demeanor. Low man in the herd, my goats were pushing him around.
He is intelligent, he figured out the dinner time routine in 30 seconds of watching my pony walk to his stall and wait for me to close the door. Then he walked to his stall and waited for me to close the door.
I’ll turn him out in the bigger grass field once I’m 100% that I can catch him. For now, he is in the small paddock so I can monitor him more easily. He sits like a dog in the field and watches all the things…its unique.
