Thoughts on "The Traveling Horse Witch?"

Thank you for the link @K_VanOlst.

This page shows very well how small the property is (and that they actually use some property that is not theirs, clearly).

Gotta love real estate listings! When I was looking for a place, so many looked great on paper, not so great in person for various reasons. This place looks good (just talking about it as a property, nothing to do with the buyer). The turnouts look decent, not huge but better than a lot of places, esp, on only 5 acres which is not big. If horses were out there all the time, the grass would not be so nice, but that’s just how it goes. The stalls, most of them, are inside the covered arena, not in a barn proper, and I really don’t like that kind of design. I looked at boarding once in a place like that and both the arena and stalls felt depressing. Also, the dust from the arena isn’t good for the horses in the stalls if they are living there, as opposed to just there for a clinic or show. The separate barn looks to have ten or so stalls, not sure from the listing. The round pen is nice, has trees, and is small. The outdoor arena also nice but looks small in some photos, bigger in others. The garage doors look damaged, I’d wonder about that. House is just ok – personally I don’t like the design or style, but some people like this kind of house. Doesn’t say when it was built – 1970s? I have a friend who used to do real estate photos as a profession – common to make things look “great”, use wide angle lenses to make things look bigger and more spacious then they are, because it’s marketing! I know someone who sold a small farm recently, decent house but not great, and the real estate photographer actually added little lights and did some other things to make the photos look wonderful, but not exactly how the place looked in the raw pictures. It sold pretty fast. If I had 5 acres like this, I’d not have more than 3-4 horses living there. I’d rip out those interior stalls in the arena, build bigger and better sheds in the turnouts. Not sure what I’d do with all that pine wood in the house, I guess paint it! Location looks great - very pretty and close to town. Don’t know about pricing in that area seems like a decent price for what you get, big covered arena alone would cost over $100,000 which is why I don’t have one.

Another dead horse covered in flowers and draped over by the weeping THW on my feed. I saw someone made a FB reel featuring a similar macabre display of their own dead horse. Just… don’t. Stop flogging your dead horses for FB/Insta/TikTok kudos/credit/likes/attention. It is gross.

I post photos of my deceased pets when they go, most people do! I don’t beflower their corpses and pose with them. Is this now the norm?

One of her posts about mirror neurons has been circulating lately. Every time I see someone share it, I just cringe internally.

Missed this one …

They do?
I must only have friends who are not most people.

I have never even taken a photo of the body of my deceased pet(s).

I think she means posting a photo from when they were alive. Not the actual corpse. That is kind of weird.

Argh, sorry! I meant photos taken from when they were alive, not after they die.

Dare I ask what the mirror neurons are?

Yet another horse of hers dead, and young too…
I know that accidents/sickness happens, but do any of her horses die older? What is going on with her and her inner circles horses?

This grief porn is just so gross, so shallow and attention seeking. Who does this?!

A narcissist? An attention whore?

Ive had to put so many horses down over the years and the last thing I thought of doing is photographing myself crouched over their dead flower festooned bodies. I didnt need to share my ugly crying face and my broken heart for anyone, particularly internet strangers. Its heartless and offensive and disrespectful.

she and her followers seem to think this is THE way to do it. makes me ill. disrespectful to the life of the horse. imagine doing this with your own parent, child, spouse – i think there is some kind of mental condition in play, this is just not normal. performative death rituals…who does that.

The performative death ritual thing is just gross.

What I’m here for though is to spread a little hope. I’ve just heard that a local (to me) canine boarding/daycare/rehab place is up the creek for practicing vet med. Court case. Decent sized fine. Not the same country, not the same species, but still it gives me a grain of hope that eventually a governing body will catch up to this charlatan.

what do you do with the horse?

Look at her, mostly. Feed her broken dreams and hunjies. She’s pretty happy.
