Actually, it’s up to you to prove it if you’re saying she lied. If you’re saying you have questions that is fine. Saying she lied and calling her a fraud without evidence is not.
Please explain how any statements made here have met the four elements of libel required to prove defamation.
I have never used the word “fraud”. I have used the term lying about her claiming to be a licensed massage therapist in Washington state exactly twice in this thread. Because I went to the website where such licenses are listed and her name is not there (see below). When one of her houseguests argued with me, I invited them to share what name she is licensed under (since it sounds like she’s had multiple aliases). Crickets.
By all means, if someone wants to share actual, verifiable proof (not just THW’s word, which doesn’t mean a hill of beans to me), that she is in fact licensed as a massage therapist in Washington state, I will cheerfully retract my two comments about her lying (since there are a plethora of other things she claims that don’t add up, this was just the easiest to verify).
I’ll wait
You’re right you haven’t. Someone else did, which I think is getting close to the line.
Then by all means, go scold them about their responsibility to prove if she is lying never mind that again, no one on this thread can prove a negative (that she isn’t licensed or educated the way she claims she is). It is 100% her responsibility to prove that she is, if she’s marketing herself based on said (potentially falsified) credentials.
My understanding of libel law is the “injured” party needs to prove the claims are untrue. Good luck on that.
Do some research on COTH then, since you’re new here.
This group has quite a history of ferreting out those who aren’t what they claim… Three Strikes Ranch, AC4H, CBER, and a whole host of others.
If one of us smells something is off, that’s worth thinking about, but if several do, well… its not done for merde and giggles and more often than not, if they think they smell something it’s because something’s rotten.
I admit I don’t smell roses. I am curious about the credentials and experience. I just can’t say for sure what I’m smelling.
I just saw people actively trying to direct people to this thread and thought it would be worth warning folks to keep it factual.
Since you are an active member of the group. Maybe you can help clear this up for everyone and make a post asking Celeste to outline her credentials.
Nah. Definitely not interested in that poop show. I got my moneys worth, probably wouldn’t buy her for nerve release without knowing more about her credentials. Said that before.
But you won’t simply ask her to share her (edit: applicable) credentials? Why would that be a poop show?
Doesn’t that say a whole lot?
Edit I think what most of us who were involved in exploring these groups/orgs we found suspicious, was that the most telling clue was when we asked a simple, reasonable, easy question of the primaries and experienced a “poop show”
Yeah I think it does actually! Not that she’s a fraud but that there’s a definite BSC vibe around the whole thing.
I feel like this says all that needs to be said I wish CoTH would give us a laugh react to go with the love react haha.
If the person offering you a service for money would start a “poop show” upon being asked about their credentials…
Where are you seeing others trying to direct attention to this thread? How many people are discussing this woman’s business (for wont of a better description!)?
I was Just talking about the discussion in this thread earlier about SEO.
Believe it or not, I don’t WANT anyone to get sued and I would like to know the truth about certain things. I have seen a lot of bodyworkers, trainers and vets seem very interested in her work and before it mainstreams it would be good for people to have some clarity. I understand how someone might feel their horse was injured by bodywork for example if they started displaying odd behavior after the work—but I’ve seen that happen loads of times and it’s just never very black and white. It’s a slippery slope to claim she’s at fault for it, for all equine professionals! I’d like to know what exactly she is doing to the horses and if it has a foundation in any science.
You should ask her about what she’s doing, aren’t you still part of the masterclass group?
The foundation in science has been answered by herself, she has no formal education in equine biomechanics or rehabilitation, she’s “reverse engineered” her body work and performance training “knowledge” to do what she is doing.
Hello. As you can see I am not hiding from anyone. Unlike yourself. TTW posted on her FB business page that she has a “degree in animal science.” Then she went on Dr Shelley Appleton’s page and claimed to have a “degree in neuropsychology.” I asked her where she got that “degree.” And outlined what it takes to get a “degree in neuropsychology”. (Which is not a “degree” it is a field and requires a doctorate in a psychology.) Within minutes I was blocked and banned and to this day I have not been provided with a “screenshot of the rule I broke.” That is what I am furious about. I reported her to the FTC for taking someone’s money and then denying them access to material they had paid for. I QUESTIONED her claims. She doesn’t like that. She does NOT have a “degree in neuropsychology,” that is a lie. She also told her best friend she had a degree in “psychology.” Neither of those ( animal science) are degrees in “neuropsychology.” Anyone who lies about their education is, by definition, fraudulently representing his or herself. She is lying about having “trademarks.” Which is stupidity. She tries to makes herself into something she is not. That should be called out. Now she is “certifying” ANYONE who gives her money as a “nerve release practitioner”. She is not the owner of an accredited institution and cannot do that. On her website she says: will be provided with a certificate of “completion” upon payment of all fees. That is not the same as certifying competence to perform nerve procedures on horses. Now she is not only being fraudulent in her business practices, she is being unethical and skirting, at LEAST, practicing veterinary medicine without a license.
Name yourself before you accuse others of not doing so. They are hiding from her behavior. What are you hiding from?
BTW. I welcome any scrutiny into my claims because I have everything to back up what I say. In writing.
The masterclass group isn’t about the bodywork. I don’t have any questions about the BTTM exercises, they’re fairly simple and make sense to me. And you don’t need a degree or any special education to understand why they work. I don’t need to ask about the bodywork because I’m not buying it. But, if other bodyworkers and vets are getting trained in it, I expect them to ask.
Then you’re just warning people about discussing her education and training because you’re worried for their financial security? That’s very kind of you.
