Smoke and mirrors here… word from others who actually participated in the course said CLL was a student just like everyone else, and every student had the opportunity to present their own perspective during the lab portion and everyone participated in the interactive discussion at the end. She makes it sound as if she was singled out and special… grandiose much?
Yes, she makes a habit of changing her colors to fit new knowledge and pretending she knew the information all along, sadly, claiming it as her own always. And as you so clearly articulated that if anyone actually pays attention, she references and speaks of very different things as if they are one and the same. There is a huge disconnect there, and you’re absolutely correct, none of this information is new.
Effective marketers are “grandiose .”
Sadly true, therein lies the dilemma here. The constant need to target new unaware customers. I will reiterate so that it’s clear I don’t claim to diagnose anyone with any personality disorder, only a psychiatrist can do that after years of therapy, but I can recognize traits and red flags. Having narcissistic traits does not always equate NPD, FWIW
This from an interesting article on the subject at hand.
“Despite some benefits, both narcissists and marketers have a big problem. Research among narcissists confirms they are less liked in the long run (Paulhus, 1998). They resolve this conundrum by being short-term oriented. The intention of narcissists is immediate admiration, not mutual affinity (Emmons, 1989; Morf and Rhodewalt, 2001). In many ways, marketers behave in an uncannily similar fashion. The critical problem for both is they must constantly target new “unaware customers” to supply their needs”
Good points. I can spot a narcissist a mile away and I’ve spent a lifetime resisting marketing because it’s fundamentally dishonest as a genre.
It’s bad enough when effective enough consumer goods get over marketed in obnoxious ways.
But MLM world is where real NPD huns go overboard on completely false advertising which is more or less outside the existing regulatory framework because it’s presented as individual social media blather. It’s the most toxic combination and TWH has learned her lessons in MLM well.
These days, I work (as peripherally as possible) in marketing and I would have to agree. Effective marketers ARE grandiose. The ones that are really good though? The ones that are really good though are extremely creative, don’t follow an MLM script, have more than half a brain, and understand that if they piss off enough people, even while maintaining a loyal following, they’re screwed in the long run.
Her facebook post today made me speechless and confused reading it -so I guess that is great marketing if it reads like a novel with sweeping statements and yet has no succinct point.
Absolute word salad…
Having a meltdown maybe?
Ah ok. Taking her personal oversharing private and insisting on her right to lie about her credentials to clients because they aren’t employers. Sweet.
Don’t have facebook…any chance a screenshot can be taken?
Er, while clients may not be employers by title, if clients are not employers who the hell are they and why are they writing her paycheques? LoL
LOVE THIS POST!

“I just returned home from 10 days of sharing the old California system of communicating with horses and cattle in a couple of great locations.
We started in Napa for their first Napa Cowboy gathering at the historic Napa Valley Horseman’s Association.
Here amazing gear makers and artisans came together with natural grazing experts and pastoral land management innovators as well as a few of us practitioners of traditional California stock horse and stock handling methods shared our ideas ,practices and art with folks.
It was a great event and all the creators and their support people did a really great job and made us feel very welcome, I highly recommend checking this event out in the future.
I then spent a couple of days doing real cowboy work with my friends Wacey and Heather Kornemann, Scott Heiny and Emme Randall, a very nice break from teaching.
Ending with four days of working with Heather Kornemann and sharing ideas on not only the old California bridle horse system we practice but also the Balance Through Movement Method from Celeste-Leilani Lazaris that Heather has been practicing and teaching. and how these methods can help our riding and horses not only perform better but be happier and healthier in the process.
It was very enjoyable and at times enlightening to work with a group of riders so knowledgeable about horses bodies.
We had riders who are practicing the BTMM system like Heather, and equine chiropractors and body workers as well as nerve release practitioners.
This made me realize a lot about my own riding as I watched the effect on horses worked from the ground.
I do so much tension release and body work from the saddle using the balance approach to California bridle horses system that I teach and practice it was very cool to see how each of these systems could benefit each other.
I hope we were able to convey this effectively enough to the participants so that they could use their own knowledge to open even more ways to help our equine partners find balance and peace in the way they travel through life with their riders .”
Now you can get special BtM dragon britches!
Oh dear
I legitimately had been interested in checking out that brand’s products but now I wouldn’t touch anything from them with a 10 foot pole
Do they come with fancy anti-bite bracelets?
Maybe not since I see they are completely liquid proof presumably so your own blood slides right off when your horse has had to resort to shedding blood to tell you that “nerve release” is not appropriate.
So riding in pleather leggings. With rhinestones.
Same.
Holy crap.
