I must say Iām surprised more of these eventing horses arenāt a little braver. Half of them act scared to death. Hot and fit is one thing, but they are really worried.
If the ring looks like this for dressage, pagodas and all, Iām afraid Salinero will have a nervous breakdown.
It will certainly be interesting, that camera at C is beastly.
sorry if itās already been discussedā¦
but I thought I heard on the tv coverage this morning that these horses/riders had a chance to school in that arena? if so, its interesting so many horses are still spooking this much.
Anyone else hear the same thing?
and dang-- i just saw the camera at C too. geez iād spook at that sucker tooā¦especially with it moving around the way it is!
Hereās the order for the rest of the rides:
VAN SPRINGEL Joris BOLD ACTION
POWELL Caroline LENAMORE
WINTER Mike KING PIN
DIBOWSKI Andreas BUTTS LEON
ROTATORI Roberto IRHAM DE VIAGES
DUTTON Phillip CONNAUGHT
ROSE Shane ALL LUCK
GRIFFIN Niall LORGAINE
ALBERT Dag TUBBER REBEL
KING Mary CALL AGAIN CAVALIER
ADDE Jean Renaud HASTON Dā ELPEGERE
Someone said they couldnāt find it.
I think they were allowed to school in the whole of the arena, but not after itād been prepared for the tests. In other words, it was a blank arena.
Someone correct me if Iām wrong?
I believe that is correct. The camera was probably set up after the schooling.
Iām on dial-up, no cable no satellite - someone please tell me about Mike Winterās ride when he goes?
Thanks
ahh⦠heh. well gee thatās helpful! i guess in some ways it makes sense, but still.
It really does pay to go later I guess. I see them all riding past that camera 2 or 3 times now on warm up.
Mikeās geting ready to go in nowā¦
Heās having a nice consistant test so far
nice changes
last halt not square, but Very nice test overall
mikeās score 48.9
Mike missed a lead going into the collected canter half circle, and had a couple of wiggles, but a very good test.
he is tied for 24th place.

Robbed.
yup!!!
bearing in mind that Iām a h/j, therefore donāt really know the ins and outs of scoring dressage, but there were a few that I kind of thought were robbed (Mike being one of them)
Weirdā¦
Thanks guys.
Why do you say he was robbed ODS?
Agree he was robbed. In my humble opinion, it was a consistant, even, accurate test and scored in the same range as others that were not any of the above.
Unfortunate horse nameā¦

A very fine test compared to others who have scored better but they had less accomplished technique, control, and consistency. JMHO.
