Tips for sneaking food into WEG

We’ve just finished 4 days at the WEG. I managed to sneak in food for 3 people daily. Here is how I did it:

  • Packed food in bottom of backpack, under many items.
  • Give 'searchers' something to search, like a pouch inside my backpack that looks sinister.
  • Look ahead and pick the line for a volunteer who is young and looks friendly and uncertain. They did not search as hard as the older ones who looked serious about their job.
  • Give them something to find, like a small bag of trail mix you can lose.
  • I packed in multiple Subway sandwiches or big packages of pizza this way!

Bravo ~ we need your help at ?

 Very good ~ would you be able to help us out at at our next Weight Watcher’s meeting ~ we get hungry !!!:lol: TIA and ps I like extra cheese on my pizza :winkgrin:

Your bra size just couldn’t manage those Subway sandwiches???

Very clever. i took in bags of peanuts and granola bars and they saw them and didn’t care. FYI, if you want to smuggle in anything, put it in your pocket and they won’t even look.

My favorite way of short-circuiting bag searches? Tampons.

Put a handful of tampons on top, then go to the line with the male (preferably a younger male) bag checker. Always worked wonders at concerts.

Guess I’ll be wearing a hoodie with a big kangaroo pocket in front for the Subway sandwich! Could get it into my bra–but I would look like I’d had serious plastic surgery. (sorry couldn’t resist)

Yes, do bring your own food!
The most edible thing I had was a salad from the refrigerator.
The food was HORRID.

Go later in the day if you have afternoon tickets. I got there after the rush on Friday and never got searched. Don’t think a lot of other people did either, judging by what they were eating around me in the stadium. Someone had an entire giant bag of Cheetos…that would have been hard to hide!

Hahaha, good thinking!

I always pack my blood glucose tester with my food. I’m a diabetic (actually just insulin resistant)and sometimes need food RIGHT NOW

I had a black backpack, so the depths of the bag were really dark. Never got more than a passing glance into the bag by any checkers. I was usually going through when it was crowded, so they were just trying to get the crowd through. I also made the point to pull my jacket that was the top layer in the bag out for the checker before they even asked, so as to not give them a reason to look further.

On another note - the food that I found to be the least insulting size, taste, and price-wise were the burritos and the pulled pork in the main food tent. Not really more expensive than any sporting event and a decent amount of food. Two of us split it for a meal each day. I actually thought the salads were fine taste-wise, but absolutely ridiculous price-wise. Resorted to them only for purposes of expedience before the freestyles Friday night.

I figured out a GREAT method for food sneaking…
I have really big pockets in my jacket, but it’s totally obvious that I’m hiding something in there if I’m wearing it, so I put the food in the pockets and put the jacket in my backpack. The searchers would always tell me to take my jacket out so they could see the bottom of my bag, and when I did I took the food out with it
I hid a bunch of bagels, drinks, and granola bars that way, and I know I could have fit a lot more too if I were going for more days.

In the old days when we slept in stalls at shows I was the only one of 5 not to be robbed blind while away at the ring. I had tampons on the top of my bag and while the bag was unzipped nothing was disturbed. lol

A friend of mine has been known to toss a, um, s*x toy into her bag when she is worried about it being stolen or searched. Works like a charm!

They barely checked our bags at all. All we’d have had to do was stash sandwiches under a sweatshirt.

C cup to DD via bagels & cream cheese here!

They were lifesavers as my friend and I simply refused to pay the prices for the food there…truth be told, we didn’t see nor smell anything that was appetizing to us. We took sliced peaches and granola bars too.

Honestly, with that many people going through, the checkers couldn’t take the time to do a thorough check without holding up the lines for hours. I thought entry into the park went amazingly quick and smooth. With the exception of some of the people trying to direct the traffic out of the big parking fields, the volunteers and staff were all super friendly and accomodating. Overall I thought they did good job.

:lol:Y’all get my vote for best WEG thread!!!

Has anyone tried cargo pants?

I was told by one of the security guys that they were not supposed to inspect the interior of ladies’ purses closely, but it really sounded like one of the old Southern rules of courtesy.

I carried water, crackers and nuts for 3 days. Always told the folks what was in my bag and they said OK.

FYI - if you going this week, the cheeseburgers are not bad and are large with a huge order of chips. They will ‘cut’ it in half so you can share with someone else, which is what we did.
