Triple Crown 2020

Whoops! I have a ROKU television which makes it easy for me to add the channels mentioned previously. The nice thing about both is that you can pay month-to-month and cancel at any time–you’re not locked into a one or two year contract.

is the You Tube channel the one with videos?

They’ve changed the time of the Derby too, so be sure to check. Don’t know if they have cut out the other races or what, but I believe (without going back and double checking) that NBC starts covering the Derby at around 2:30 ET.

Looking forward to it.

I am all in for Tiz The Law to win it. I would like to see Barclay get the win.
But is PP is concerning to me in a field that size. he wont get bumped and bounced much but he will be running wide first turn

My longshot pick is King Guillermo. Hate the name, but he is a fun horse to watch train. Think he may be coming into this quite rank; it will be interesting to see how he handles a field this size but his PP looks promising

I think you are correct, 2:30pm ET is the advertised start of coverage on NBC. Prior is probably NBCSN.

NBCSN might be more widely available on places like Hulu or …

CD ADW is probably the only place to see the Derby live other than NBC.

Thats a 5 hour long telecast on the mothership NBC broadcast network station so would seen they will be carrying the undercard races ( which are pretty respected races as well) and KD post time may be the same as always.

ETA, checked with NBC website, Derby post time is listed as 7:01pm EDT.

I just checked with FS2 and they are carrying CD. And I believe I heard Frank say they were carrying the ENTIRE program this season at CD. So maybe I can watch from here after all. What a nuisance. But it keeps the rate low and I only ever watch racing there, so…

YouTube has videos uploaded by everyone, but I found that they are LIVE programs, too. I am currently again (Wednesday afternoon) Saratoga Live (Racing), and they are showing races at Churchill Downs, too.

If you search “Saratoga Live” (Racing), it will probably bring up races/programs from previous days. You have to look for the ((Live)) in the corner of the selection. I can watch this program on my Roku television or here on my laptop computer.

King Guillermo missed training this morning “with a little problem”. I suspect he will be scratched this evening.

Got Juan Carlos Avila on speed-dial?

While you may be right but IMO early speculation doesn’t help.

Caton Bredar on TVG was careful to mention that nothing yet should be read into not going to the track for a scheduled work. Sounded maybe like dusty at the track?? I missed completely what she said about Tiz the Law.

Juan Carlos Avila acknowledged there’s a problem with King Guillermo. He said there will be more information this afternoon.

it was muddy and raining on the track this morning and Juan stated there is a problem with the horse and the vet is scheduled to review this afternoon. cheers.

I know the trainer acknowledged some ‘problem’ but didn’t go into detail. My personal preference is to wait for an announcement rather than speculate although I can probably guess that King Guillermo won’t be in the gate on Saturday.

FWIW, Caton Bredar is totally in the Tiz the Law camp

And…King Guillermo is officially out of the Derby.

I am not sure what to make of this video

Not surprised but wanted to wait for the official announcement - with a fever.

Next goal is planned to be the Preakness.

Something looks wonky, RF? And Finnick the Fierce missing his right eye wouldn’t completely account for it, I don’t think. But, I’m not there, don’t know what the vets see, don’t know how Finnick the Fierce trains and regularly moves. A 18 second video doesn’t make a diagnosis for sure.
