Last year when the TuffRider sport dress boots went on sale at Dover for $100 I bought a pair and fell in love. They were SO comfortable right out of the box and fit like a glove. I really wish I would have bought two pair, because now they are sold out of all but one size. Mine are still holding up fine with regular wear, but I wanted a second pair for showing. Are there any other options for tall boots with super soft leather other than the $$$$ ones?
Not $99 but not much more expensive, and lots of size options!
You are awesome! Thanks!!
I just looked up the reviews and someone said they are supposed to be leather but they are synthetic? is this true? they say leather. it looks like a very nice boot!
They are definitely leather. It is a soft thin leather, so they probably won’t last forever, but the comfort is SO worth it IMHO.
I bought a pair of them too. They are incredibly nice for such cheap boots! Sadly, they sent me one boot that fits perfectly and the other that’s almost an inch shorter than its mate If you have different length legs you’re welcome to mine!
I have their Field Boot and agree, they are super comfortable. Wish the foot bed had a little more support but really a great boot for the price…
I would not hold your breath that HL actually has all those sizes in stock
It let me order them, but that’s not to say I won’t get the dreaded “sorry, actually we are out of that item” email. I’m kinda a weird size, so keeping fingers crossed they still have them.
I also got a pair of these boots when they were on sale and love them. Bought a second pair off a friend a few weeks later because they didn’t fit her and I wanted a backup pair. I’ve been riding in them 3 times a week for a year now and they are still great. The only issue I have with them is that one of the boots unzips while riding, but creative use of the zipper keeper helps. Hope Horseloverz comes through for you, OP!
Plus their field boot has X-Wide with actually DO fit a wide calf. It has a gusset on both sides if I recall on that model. I have to admit there is no break in needed but in all honesty I ride better in a stiffer boot but just can justify getting custom because off the rack just doesn’t work for me.
I did get mine from Horseloverz and usually their inventory is correct. It is rare that they notify my that the size is no longer available.

Can you elaborate?? My left boot unzips itself (sometimes like all the way down!!!), right is perfect
I actually looped a black shoelace string through the zipper pull of each zipper. When I zip them up, I run the zipper keeper through the loop and then buckle it like normal. That way if the zipper starts unzipping, it only goes about an inch before the shoelace stops it.
You can buy those Belmont field boots for $159.95 just about anywhere, they also have a Wellsley model and a regal model , non are over $300.00 go to Breeches.com to look at the entire line PS: they also have a brown boot
Lol “Parwantis.” I always call them “Farlantis.” I got a pair of these on sale at a horse show and they are my daily riders. They are super comfortable and very grippy. I wouldn’t show in them though as for me the leather has become quite dull—almost grey/black. I show in the Mountain Horse Sovereigns (highly recommend if you want nice looking boots on a budget).

I have the same problem with mine. I’ll have to try this!
And ITA with MintHillFarm about the footbed. If I could get an Ariat footbed in these boots, I’d be in heaven.

The Volant footbed is what’s ruined me for all other boots. I both show (Volant S) and school (Sport V) in Volant boots because I just can’t bear to ride in anything else any more…

I’ve heard they’re super comfy, but the traditional hunter rider in me hates the way they look :sigh:

I am a jumper rider these days - but I must say that the Volant S is pretty conservative all things considered. Looks similar to a normal dress boot with a little heftier sole.
Not conservative, but not like the Volants of yore, either!

I’ll have to try them on when my Parwantis die.
