Tuscany Pearl Breeches - Yay or Nay?

Sorry if this is the incorrect section to post (I’m new here  )

I have seen these breeches popping up more and more, and I want to know: what’s the consensus? Do you like the breeches? Do they compare to tailoreds? I am a die hard TS supporter, but at 100$/pair, the tuscany’s could be a worthwhile schooling substitute!

I’m not in love with them but they are perfectly fine, just a little more lowrise then I’d like. Fabric isn’t as nice as TS or pikeaur, but like you said they are only $100. Definitely good for schooling, but I also show in mine.

They look nice. If they fit you right and are comfortable that’s what matters.

Not possibly an advertisement ? First post. And look! A link! Helps to get the product talked about doesn’t it!

This reminds me of the boot people who tried over and over, ad nauseum, to keep their boots on the forum by repeatedly posing questions about them.

Only $100 per pair? $100 is not a little bit of money, actually, for many people… if the only thing I was using these for was schooling, I would expect to spend a whole lot less.

Tough crowd

I link products & shops & subscription services v.e.r.y frequently, only difference being that I tend to do it in style … super nice lady who always has time to answer my questions even when I tell her I won’t be buying from her re shipping expenses or I’m just at my research stage (& yes, like every shop I walk into lately, there are Tuscany’s here too).

I doubt very much that Picovs is advertising on COTH
I doubt even more that the Canadian Distributor of Tuscany breeches is advertising on COTH (with an accentuation on Picovs in exchange for backdoor payments in unpasteurized Quebec specialty cheeses)

Then there are the innumerable threads containing Dover or Smartpak or CWD or …

oh those sneaky marketeurs

Hi twobits and welcome

these breeches are very popular locally, especially with the H/J crowd; compared to TS at double the price, Tuscany must be doing something right - they are undoubtedly the #1 seller at a local shop I dare not name
(No not Picovs or Karlynn  )

twobits looks like a real, genuine person with a question about breeches, so let’s dampen down those tingling COTH anti-advertiser spidey senses this time.

Welcome to the site!

I am a real person, I promise! I have come to COTH since my regular board (equiman) seems to be shut down permanently.
Thank you for the replies so far! I haven’t heard anything terrible about them, but I also haven’t heard anything wonderful, so figured I would check in with the experts on COTH

Hi twobits!

Sorry to have doubted you (since Mod1 thinks you are a “real person”).
You wouldn’t believe the lengths a Parlanti rep went to on this forum to promote their product. Multiple “first” posts and usernames. Very strange and annoying.

Hope you find your perfect breeches!

There was a company that did some “like” TS breeches years ago RJ classics and they totally fell apart. I am curious if anyone has ridden in these Tuscany breeches and how they hold up. Some of my TS are very old and hold up really well.

I have a pair (likely from the same local shop Aldo dares not name  ). I like them, they fit well. Fabric is a bit thinner than I like for day to day as it’s not as good for disguising less than perfect legs, or the dreaded VPL, but it’s great on a hot show day.

My kid didn’t pick up any of these, she’s just a Cavallo girl  but they’ve been selling locally for ~2 (maybe 3) years; as I mentioned, my fav shop cannot keep them in stock, she went from carrying a few Tuscany, to most of their line.
It’s mostly the H/J crowd buying them (she has a mobile tack shop for shows which obviously impacts sales).
A friend who rides multiple horses/day thinks they’re awesome, she still shows in her TS, but these have become her everyday breeches.

15% off for November if you’re thinking of another pair

(or wait for Boxing Day! )

Those look lovely! And they have sizes up to 40! Now that is impressive.

I have two pair I bought at a shop in Canada. For years was a die hard TS girl and I really love these. The fit is great and they have held up really well. It’s a constant struggle for me to find breeches that are long enough and don’t shrink (like several of my TS have done). I have sent my Tuscany through several wash cycles and they still fit great. I will definitely be buying more of theses when I make it up to Canada come show season.

Wanna give your source for us Canadians looking to pick up a pair as cheap as one can?

Is Charcoal the tan option? The link lists navy, black, charcoal and sky blue- but I couldn’t show in those colors! Or are they available in tan, just not on that site?

I have two pairs and they are probably one of my favorite breeches now. They look flattering and are very comfortable. I’ve never been a TS girls myself so I can’t compare the two.

The only place I’ve seen them is Equestrian Factory Outlet. Not sure if that is the place that is 15% off though, I’m sure there could be another distributor in Canada
somwhere (I’m in BC)
