Has anyone heard an update since then fall at Hamptons?
Uh oh. What happened? I hope he’s ok.
He fell in the GP qualifier on Friday and was airlifted to the hospital:

Someone posted on his business Facebook page that his MRI was clear, and he can wiggle his toes. I have no idea what happened, but hope he’s OK!
A fundraiser is circulating on FB to contribute to his medical fund. Wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

Eee. Thanks. Did the horse fall down? Or he just came off?
I have not read the Newsday article yet, but I would not take their reporting too seriously on horse related details.
The Newsday article offers no details about the actual fall. I wasn’t there on Friday and haven’t spoken to anyone who was, so I don’t know the circumstances. Not much has been reported from what I have seen.
I was only half watching the live stream. Both him and the horse went down on the third part of the triple. I don’t think the horse fell on him it looked like he landed in front of her. But they pull the camera away so fast and don’t do replays so. It is hard to know what happened. The commentator said the horse looked like she miss read the last fence. And then he also said after the fall she was up but had the bridle about her legs when they were trying to catch her. Haven’t heard if she was injured or not.
On a side note the streaming is terrible and goes out constantly so I missed the majority of the class. I know something happed with Hakuna Matata in the triple too. Missed it because of the poor live stream but it came back on as they were saying it looked like she just stung herself and they were leading her out of the ring.
Thanks. Hope everyone has a speedy recovery.
Yikes! I hope everyone is OK. Did it look like a really tricky combination?
I didn’t watch the live stream but found two rounds from the same class on YouTube:
How Freddie Vasquez got out of a lifetime ban I will never know.
What horse was Kevin riding when the accident happened?
Almost like the last part of the triple is set on a half stride. Super long one or a very tight two stride.
Does anyone know a good mailing address for get well cards for him?
Assuming it was Shorapur, as the results of the class put her at tied for last place, whereas Super Chilled was 18th.
Geez. How can this guy still be riding & training. He broke his horse’s leg with a crowbar FFS to collect a $15K insurance payment.

Kevin Babington’s wife posted that he has a spinal cord injury in his neck. He’s been moved to NYU Langone hospital.
Who’s the course designer ??
Think I heard on the livestream yesterday that it’s Michel Vaillancourt.
