adding my heartfelt sympathy and good wishes for your mare as well.
It was a placentitis. There was a necrotic area. Thanks for all the well-wishes and I hope everyone who is dealing with this has a happier outcome. So sad to come this far.
I am so, so sorry!!
Heartbreaking . . . you did all you could. It just wasn’t meant to be, said Mother Nature.
I Am Sorry For Your Loss ```

So very sorry
So sorry. Sometimes breeding is just very hard. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I am so very sorry!
Sorry to read the bad news you must be very upset.
So sorry for your loss. Fingers crossed for your mare.
Last year, I had a foal die in utero in the 8th month, and the mare wasn’t aborting. She ended up a Atlantic Equine for a week, where they had to induce her, and then she was quite sick. Thankfully, she pulled through.
It’s heartbreaking, I know.
So very sorry, I have had a couple of foals aborted and so understand the heartache
So sorry
I am so sorry to read this. I hope your lovely mare recovers quickly.
How disappointing - was hoping for a good outcome. So sorry…
I am so so sorry! :’(
I’m sorry to ask this, but I didn’t see it posted anywhere, was the foal born alive and die of complications?
TBs4me, no the foal was too early and so technically an abortion.
Ok, sorry to sound ignorant, but I am new to this.
I am so sorry for your loss. How is the mare??
