Is this the part where we say, “well bless your heart” and flip our ponytails? Nor’Easter here, wondering…
Latecomer, but yeah, “Closed” caught my eye.
@fivestrideline You realize the correct Southern response (learned from my Southern clients) is:
Bless your heart!
I do realize that! The problem is the phrase has been translated all over this board and now everyone understands the nuance
But yes. Bless your heart is appropriate, I think
I spy with my one good eye a Flounce.
Why Bless Their Heart.
I only came because OP replied to one of my posts (which was nice) and then deleted her comment
I’m not even on the H/J boards ever but this was the top thread and had a bunch of replies, so I read it.
This is the first thread in the long time with a long of truly innocent drama and no real problem. 10/10 delightful.
I’m trying to delete the post entirely, but it won’t let me. I didn’t realize innocent forums questions were permanent. It shouldn’t have gotten to this point. It doesn’t matter. It’s the internet. Lesson learned - No more forums.
Yep this isn’t FB you can’t just make it go POOF
It’s always so bizarre to me when people post a ton real-world identifiable information on the internet.
FWIW, I’ve had a horse in training with Kaitlin previously and I still live in the Dallas area. She was nothing short of wonderful, so I sincerely doubt she’s trying to pull a fast one on OP regarding the registry of the filly and/or the pricing.
Hey OP we’ve all learned lessons here at one time or another. Stick around. I think you’ll find you may enjoy a lot of the forum discussions.
Also, if you want to get rid of some personally identifying info you can delete or edit that out of your own posts no problemo. If others have quoted them then they will remain in those quotes and not much to be done about that.
Congrats on the purchase of your baby. We bought a weanling BWP who with all kinds of help became an amazing eventer and I wouldn’t trade those years of learning and love for anything.
Best of luck!
I can’t figure out how to delete the post. Her owner found out about this thread and people not speaking kindly about her mare and intentions. I realize people were cautioning me, and it was helpful at first because the WB registry stuff is a lot to wrap your head around if you’ve always worked with the AQHA and Jockey Club, but it’s not necessary for the topic to be here anymore. I don’t want to feel like my dead babies are being referenced as regrets. I changed the topic name. I obviously don’t frequent forums and such. I don’t even have social media, so anyways - Good talk, everyone. The email notifications are maxing out my mailbox storage, so that’s fun.
Thanks though. I’m excited about my baby.
Why not start a new thread about your baby and what you are doing with it, and all that.
I can’t figure out how to delete the post
It is actually rude to go back and delete things and it will make people not want to go to the effort of helping you in the future if you have additional questions.
Leave it, it will scroll away and likely not be looked at by anyone.
You can change your settings to not get email notifications.
Aww. Thank you so much for the uplifting comment and the advice on deleting stuff. I do like the educational aspect of it. I just didn’t realize it would be a forever topic haha.
Yeah so the personally identifying stuff is what I’m referencing in terms of editing or deleting. Perfectly fine to tweak that and leave the rest alone. It’s a very informative thread and could help others.
People move on quickly around here as long as the poster is good-natured
Please post a new thread with tons of baby pictures. We would all love to fawn over your cute new baby, I promise. And we’ve all found ourselves in corners of the internet where it went differently than expected. This is a good bunch of people that really looks out for each other, which is all that was happening in some of the comments questioning the filly’s register-ablity.
Like I said, I’m obviously not familiar with forums, so I did not realize y’all feel that is rude. I’m just a private person, and this has been a lot. I’m sorry if my lack of comfort with an internet presence comes off as rude to anyone. I don’t have her yet. She’ll be vetted in the next couple weeks, but I’ll refrain from making a new thread. Thank you.
Thank you! She is registered sBs. She is even cuter in person actually haha. I am online shopping for cutesy stuff for her instead of working.
It was not intentional. I was trying to share posts of the baby and was ignorant in not foreseeing it getting too personal. I agree, she’s wonderful, and she did a great job with coming up with this combination to make for this dollface baby. Fingers crossed for the vet check, but I can’t wait!
Thank you for standing up for her. She was never trying to deceive me. It was just confusion and poor timing of the posts on my side.
