Oh no. So very sorry. But why are they admitting as opposed to euthanasia? If it truly is organ failure - kidney failure - it would be much kinder to euth now than let the process continue. Trust me. I lost two cats to kidney failure and waited too long with the first one, I have scars on my brain and heart from that. Second beloved kitty went to sleep on my lap before things got too horrible.
I know euth is looming. I`m going to try to arrange it so my family can say goodbye. The boys had already left for school.
So very sorry, poor Shade. You all have really been through it.
I’m so sorry, cnigh. This is the hardest thing we ever have to do for them.
I’m so so sorry, cnigh. Not the results I was hoping to hear.
It was a long shot from the beginning but at least you gave her a chance. Godspeed.
Just got back from the vet. Shadey`s blood counts are very high, but we are giving her the next 24-48 hrs to see if we can still save her. They are doing an IV flush (dialysis), exrays and more blood work.
I will have more information later this afternoon.
Oh boy. Massive aditional jingles coming your way.
still jingling for Shade.
I’m so sorry…we’re all jingling away for Shade in Kentucky!
Jersey’s jingling too!

You and Shade are in my thoughts.
I’ve seen what appears to be kidney failure reverse before; hopefully this will be the case with the dialysis.
Shade is doing ok at the vet. She is resting quietly beside the vet while she does her paperwork.
So far the vet says the kidneys look ok on the exray. The urine sample was diluted so that wasn`t a good sign. And we are waiting on blood results from today.
She is still not eating, but is otherwise perky and alert. She watched a vet tech play with another dog and was very interested.
I havet given up hope completely yet. She does seem a bit better today, but I do know the medication may just be masking it. I really hope we are doing the right thing, I don
t want to prolong any suffering.

this sounds pretty good to me cnigh. Is she on fluids?
Hang in there Shade. You’ve come this far, no time to quit now!
Did they do bloodwork before the surgery? Was she on IV fluids during the procedure?
California jingles for Shade and her family this evening. May there be better news in the morning.
I am sorry you have faced such a tough road with your girl.
Sending prayers and jingles for Shade from TX.
Oh no, I’m sorry Shade is having so much trouble. Keeping my fingers crossed for her and hoping she can come through this.
