So what happens to the appeal? Does it just disappear, or does it still proceed to a finding? Call me a cynic, but if the appeal were to have found that Taylor ruled wrongly in the first Krol hearing, does he now escape any official reprimand?

Since they’ve already heard the oral arguments the appellate panel can either a) decide it’s moot, or b) decide the issues are important enough to issue their written opinion. They may just do that.

But the point of the appeal isn’t necessarily a reprimand. It’s not a good look for a judge to be reversed/overturned, but it’s not a reprimand per se, it’s to right a legal wrong.

The jury found MB straight not guilty when it came to the charge of attempted murder of RG.

They clearly did not believe RG and
LKs full story, and Schellhorn clearly failed to make his case and secure convictions on all the charges he brought.

I’ve been following the thread, and am curious about the outcome of today’s Krol hearing.

When I real Lara Osborne’s Go Fund Me updates, I pay attention to what she says and what she doesn’t say. She has never reported that MB has received permission for excursions outside the facility. This suggests to me that he has not progressed up the levels and is not close to being released at this time.

But who knows? Perhaps he has progressed up the levels and LO has not been advertising the progress on the Go Fund Me page.

Well @CurrentlyHorseless, you will be very disappointed to know that Michael had over 21 days of excursions, as well as overnights.

And CurrentlyHorseless, you will also be disappointed to know that Michael completed at least 20 individual sessions with a psychiatrist and 60 group sessions.

Michael’s treatment team of both his psychiatrist and psychologist testified that he went above and beyond to complete treatment assignments and move up through the levels of progression he needed to in order to earn the privileges of days and nights out.

Maybe LO did not see the need to report every time Michael farts to the GFM.

The state could not prove their burden so Michael earned his release. It was determined by Judge Taylor today that Michael is of no threat to himself, others or property!

I wouldn’t wait around waiting for a mea culpa from you @CurrentlyHorseless because I do not think you are capable of it.

No, Schellhorn did not make his case with respect to attempted murder of RG. He did make the case on the attempted murder of LK, aside from the issue of intent.

Do you plan on continuing to follow this case further, now that MB has been released from Greystone?

We know you don’t have horses, so I doubt you have the same level of interest as others when it comes to his possible professional return to coaching and training.

And what about Lollypop? I’ve only loosely followed what has happened to her lately, but it’s my understanding that she isn’t even eligible to compete at present, as she isn’t compliant with SafeSport training requirements.

Maybe at the end of this whole saga, it will actually be MB who has another chapter with horses, and Lollypop will move on to something else given she doesn’t seem to show at all anymore.
