I sense Oliver really didn’t want to answer that question about how much show costs are covered via entries versus sponsors…
The Chronicle has some great photos posted in their live commentary. ETA This is a great place to see a description of rides you may have missed.
I had to laugh at the commentary re: Yung Gravy. Named in reference to the singer, not literal gravy
I can’t do most kinds of math, but I can do show math. I am going to be home just in time to take a quick shower, change my clothes, get a snack, and tune in for the second round! I’m pleased to see that it looks like I missed a bunch of really good rounds in the latter half of the day.
My house still isn’t clean, though.
Super late to the game here, but Caroline’s horse is only 6 (maybe 7), in his first season of doing the equitation!
Are there … other kinds of math out there?

I have returned. My house is somewhat cleaner than when I started. However, I’m working on a sewing project while watching, so probably won’t be typing much.
I can basically only multiply by 12 in order to count strides.
Have they mentioned a start time for the second round? I’m guessing probably around 5:00 PM by the time they walk the course and get warmed up.
Never was a volunteer to go first, the order was always drawn but they used to give roses for going first
Ooh I’m not sure, I should unmute lol
Well, there is geometry, which is how many tack trunks and bales of hay you can fit in your trailer to ship to the horse show before you have to buy more at their prices.
I thought this was called tetris.
Hmmm do I spy a hogsback type jump over on the left hand side of the screen
I never thought of it as geometry, but I do think my packing skills are better than average after so many years of practice at loading equipment into horse trailers. Lol.
It looks like the back of a coop or roll top, maybe?
I still have a staple gun in my car from horse shows and I haven’t showed in 6 years lmao
It looks like there’s an X in the middle of it to me.
I love hogsbacks!
Horseshow number strings are great for tying up your muffler……
