If my angle here accurately represents the placement of the jumps, I hope nobody sees it.
Too bad about those trot steps. Zoe won USET west on that horse. Heās 7 I think.
Iām a little surprised they are not using the outgate at the far end of the ring again for the second round, just to cut down on congestion in the chute at the ingate.
I hope the judges reward the ones who have really gone and gotten fence 1ā¦
Iām not keeping a card this year, and I didnāt see everyoneās round 1 trip, but I think Dominic, Luke, and Avery are all knocking on the door of the top 10 at this point.
Is Alexander Alston wearing a safety vest? Absolutely no judgement one way or the other - just wasnāt sure if he was based on the quality of the feed on my cheap computerā¦
Yes he is. Were you looking at the label on his right shoulder? At first I thought he was wearing a lapel pin until I noticed the contrast between the navy coat and the black vest.
That is EXACTLY what caught my eye.
Did NJ swap off to 8?
I think she might have - it was very subtle
There was a shift.
I think Tessa, Tessa, and Sofia both gave up enough to let Zayna and Avery in. Other than that, I think Iād shift the top 10 around but Iām not sure Luke moved up enough to get in there.
What happened to Caroline Tinsley?
Her horse volunteered some tempi changes after 8.
I missed it. How bad?
IF Natalie had a swap, I would have Catalina on top and Skyler 2nd (but very close). Grace seemed to have a little wander to the skinny on the video, but the commentators liked it, so not sure what I saw was real.
Will it drop her out of the ribbons?
Thatās a very nice way to put it.
I would drop her out of my top 10, yes. The horse landed right, then swapped left, and she made a visible effort to correct him back to the right lead. With so many quality trips I think that unfortunately that takes her out of the ribbons, but she had a great first round and should be proud to have had such a strong go that she came back in 3rd.
I think so, but she might get a lower ribbon. Depends on how it looked to the judges
