USEF Network coverage of Devon

This is embarrassing. Pony ring ok, Main ring not watchable

Agree.

Has anyone gotten it to work on an android device? I don’t see anywhere to enter my USEF number in order to login for the live stream. Vexing.

I have been watching successfully from the Clipmyhorse page and my account, but understand that not everyone wants one of those accounts!

Trying to figure out the same thing. Where did you click that you finally got it live?

Arena eventing on tonight - course uses both the main ring and the second ring, but looks like there’s not a single camera covering the handful of fences in the second ring. Super weird buzzing in the background of the (very quiet) commentators, but not sure if that’s been around for the rest of the classes.

Yeah the coverage for arena eventing is hot garbage. The audio is bad, second ring has no coverage, and it keeps kicking me out of full screen because I need to be a “full member.” I am a full competing USEF and USHJA member. The stream keeps pausing/buffering too.

I can’t wait to not renew my memberships because I’m not paying for this ClipMyHorse x USEF trash anymore :joy: I would’ve continued paying if they kept USEF Network like it used to be, but oh well that’s their problem not mine :sunglasses:

I stand corrected, they’re showing Buck in the second ring but weren’t showing Jennie.

It’s still an atrocious live stream BUT at least both rings are visible now.

Question for you all watching tonight. With USEF membership, do you get the ability to watch full screen? I could watching Landrover, but tonight I can’t. I’m a paying USEF member.

Nope, I’m a full competing member and it kicked me out of full screen. It also won’t let me watch on the app at all saying I need to be a premium member. I went to my account page and guess what, I’m a premium member :joy: such a crappy service.

Yet all the replays are available to watch full screen. Thanks USEF! This is a lovely service! I try not to complain but this has really gone from bad to worse.

And i know it’s starting to get dark, but the video quality looks like it’s coming from an iPhone, not a professional live streaming service, in my opinion.

I know it’s trendy to crap on CMH but I’ve been a paying member for several years now and experience very few issues with most feeds, e.g., WEC, Old Salem, small Euro shows, and so on. I’m gonna guess you can point fingers at Devon and USEF for the technical issues here, as CMH is just a vendor—I don’t believe they’re actually supplying equipment or staff.

I’m less annoyed with crappy feed. That happens with every show or sport. I’m annoyed with the inability to watch full screen when I could 3 weeks or so ago with a paying USEF membership. It’s seems the “perks” (I use that term loosely) for usef network are less each day. It’s like USEF just got rid of USEF Network as the benefits are dwindling each day. I don’t compete and do pay but why bother? I’m sure something else will disappear in a few more weeks…

They had several technical issues at the venue during the competition. We didn’t get feed of the jumps in the small ring for the first 2 competitors. Then during one round instead of displaying the name and time, the screen just started flashing the sponsors at rapid speed. Lastly on Bucks winning round they never started the timers. Timers went from -18 countdown to 33 to 52 seconds. It was very odd and some of the spectators around me were grumbling about if he actually was the fastest or they just screwed up. However, I’d assume they have a backup timer system for making sure. Or, they could watch video replay.

So it may not be USEF but Devon that was at fault for this one.

@Natalie_A - Good morning! Yes, let’s make sure you are actually logged into your ClipMyHorse account. The reason it is ending the videos prematurely is due to you not being logged into your CMH account. If you would like to email us at memberservices@usef.org, you may put “ATTENTION ASHLEAH” in the subject line, and provide your USEF ID, address, and date of birth, for verification purposes, I can then look into your USEF account and provide instructions from there.

@Natalie_A - Please be sure you are recognizing all time zones, as the time differences effect when CMH/USEF would recognize an event to be “live”. Please do follow up if you continue to have difficulties/inquiries, and I will see what I can do in order to assist.

@pompeiii - Please accept our sincerest of apologies for the difficulties you are experiencing. Have you changed the device of which you are using to view any feed via the CMH streaming? Additionally, have you changed your membership level in regards to your USEF account?

Please be advised that accessing your ClipMyHorse app via a mobile device application requires a membership/subscription to CMH directly, and this is a requirement of CMH itself. USEF is unable to change this requirement, as it is not our right. If you are a premium member via CMH then I advise reaching out to them directly to assist you with any issues you have with streaming/viewing feeds.

I hope that USEF is rethinking their association with ClipMyHorse. It seems to be producing a lot of unhappy USEF members.

I have been a member of USEF since long before there was such a thing as a live stream, and I am not at all pleased with the service. It was much better in previous years before ClipMyHorse got involved.
