[Edit] The video is disturbing, to say the least. Maybe they will find that he is indeed at the bottom of Lake Mead. Not that I’d wish it on anyone, dear flagger.
[Edit] I hope he loses his license and goes to jail.
Apparently, this is not the only video of him doing these things surfacing. But I have yet to come across another source.
If you go to his yelp reviews, the other video of him punching a horse in the face with a syringe is in one of the posts. His reviews are interesting, more face-punching years ago, and his aggressive responses to unhappy people speaks for itself.
Oh yikes. I didn’t even think to look there. Losing your temper is one thing, but this is… horrifying. I feel awful for the horses and the owners that witnessed it. You never think you have to protect your animals from vet violence, but here we are.
It’s possible he committed suicide. It’s also possible he parked there and had a friend pick him up. However, the fact that his family is worried about him, makes me think suicide is more likely. He must have had serious mental health issues before this. If he does show up alive, he may very likely lose his license.
I absolutely agree that he should lose his license to practice and even face criminal charges but I don’t agree with people posting online death threats and driving him to suicide.
No words-
I hope no one misinterpreted my post as a death threat. I was talking about a possible fait accompli.
We all knew that!
@SillyHorse oh no I was referring to the nastiness I’ve seen online, especially after he posted his apology. Not to you, sorry.
I am hopeful that the karma of all the animals this guy has abused has taken care of business.
Edited my post.
report to the appropriate governing body (ie Vet association he falls under) and let the system take care of it, the online mass mobbings are getting out of hand. Awareness is one thing, inciting people to death threats is a whole nuther kettle of fish.In general considering we all know how good faked videos can be and how fast modern cameras are (moment in time) people need to take some of the witch hunts with a big grain of salt until proper investigations occur.
Did you read the article?
Frehner did end the post with an apology and admitted to kicking the horse.
“But yes I did kick him right in the chin and I very much do apologize and wish this never happened,” he wrote.
That would be fine if the system actually did “take care of it.” However, we’ve all known vets reported to state veterinary boards that got a slap on the wrist, if not an actual wink and nod. Case in point: that psycho b*tch vet in Texas who shot the cat with an arrow, then posed for a “trophy photo” of it while it was still alive, holding it by the arrow. She didn’t get NEARLY as much punishment as she should have. She is one I would happily mistake the brake for the gas pedal for.
I’m not saying vigilante justice is the answer, but just pointing out that the system does not always, in fact, take care of the problem vets.
Jesus, I’m glad I never saw that.
Yeah. It was horrendous. And so many defended her not losing her license completely and forever because she was a large animal vet, specifically for horses, not a small animal vet. Even here on these boards, we had people defending her on those grounds. It was sickening.
In the immortal words of The Chicks…
He was a missing person that nobody missed at all…
He’s not sorry he did it. He’s sorry 1) he got caught, and 2) social media exists
