Warning...my experience with Airdance Farm and Lisa Dunckley

I’m sorry that I have not posted updates since September.

Joyride’s location has been since discovered as of two weeks, he is at the original location where he was examined, and Dunckley has abandoned him there. Owing a significant amount of back board.

Her horses are in conservatorship until her trial in March.

My own case has concluded. I won default judgement and rewarding of the ownership of Joyride as well as 174,000 in damages (not including penalties). There will be a sheriff’s auction if anyone should like to participate. I’ll post details when they become available.

Thanks so much for the update.

Well done for seeing it through @tempichange - I know how exhausting it can be. I hope you can collect on this judgement with minimal additional hassle.

I guess I’m fortunate not to know firsthand. The wheels of justice are really this slow? I assume there haven’t been continuances and whatnot?

Yes, they are slow and Covid delays have everything even more behind.

What happens to the horses in the meantime? I have been following the Friesian thread as well. Do we know that she doesn’t have any horses in her care at this point?

If she’s using aliases, how does anyone know unless she’s locked up, as she needs to be? If she doesn’t get prison time, there’s no way to track her?

Sorry to be so naive. I wish we could just shoot some people (NOT a threat, just an earnest feeling that some people should never be without oversight, which is not feasible)

Unfortunately, she still has possession of horses. She continues to move them around and hide them.

Here are some of her aliases: Lisa Kelly, Lisa Free, Lisa Terrah, Savannah Trax (Craigslist and Bay Equest) and Taylor (Dreamhorse). Her picture needs to be everywhere so people could relate the names to a person. I’m sure there are more names out there.

I do want to add if there are anyone on this thread that has had encountered any dealings with Lisa Dunckley no matter how long ago, please email Janine at oakdaleequinerescue@gmail.com and explain your experience. We want to prove that Lisa has been doing this for several years. Lets just say 20+ years. Its time to come to an end and stop the abuse on the horses and the horse community.

Update 8/6/2024 - I can’t comment no further on this thread so i’ll try to keep you all posted from here.

This neglect case in Stanislaus County does not include Kelly Gage. This is a separate case by the Stanislaus County Animal Control of the horses that were seized in Dec 2021 and now in Jan 2024. This is totaling over 50 head of horses. These horses were turned over to Oakdale Equine Rescue to take on the much needed care, medical attention and to find new homes for these abused horses.

Court was help on Aug 1, 2024 no plea agreement was met. The DA is pushing for prison time. Preliminary hearing is set for Sept 23, 2024 @ 130p. They are expecting it to be approximately 90 mins. We are still on schedule for trial on Oct 28th, 2024 @ 830a.

You can view her case at Stanislaus County Superior Court case #CR-22-003254, booking #1502873. Like I’ve mentioned you can watch the case online. At this point, this coming court date may be something everybody needs to watch.

In case you don’t follow Oakdale Equine Rescue, they were the ones that had seized the 37 horses in Lisa’s care back in Dec 2021. There’s a video on their facebook page that shows the condition of these horses in her care. Despicable!!

And… the abuse and neglect is STILL going on. It seems that more horses were seized in early 2024, and have now been released to Oakdale Equine Rescue. The rescue is trying hard to meet the needs of these poor animals.

What an utter mess. I do not understand how this has gone on for years and years, and why horses were left in her custody after the last seizure in 2021. Poor poor helpless animals.

Disgusting that she is still out there starving/neglecting horses.

Ironic that the person who filed charges on Lisa Dunckley is now being investigated for criminal neglect…

Those poor, poor creatures.
I am sharing a photo of one of these poor horses, just in case anyone is not able to click on the link.
Despicable. and heartbreaking.

Does this negate the original neglect some how?

Absolutely not. I’m just saying it’s strange how a person that went after someone else for horrible, horrible neglect can also do the same thing to other horses :frowning:

@AlterdHunter Where is the proof of the neglect?
