watching now ...

my feed is dreadful

I haven’t seen a full ride yet. It keeps buffering. Then it freezes. Then I try fire fox and I can’t even get to the NBC site. It wants to buffer and buffer and buffer. And I can just FORGET about full screen.
I think I don’t have a lot of short term memory-in the computer either! But I may leg it up to the little computer shop today and see if I can get more memory for this old puter. I watched Rolex with no problems.

Karen’s test was rocky (start and finish) and brilliant in the middle (!!!). It puts her in second right now with a 48.2. IF Mr. Medicott liked to halt more, it would have been in the low 30’s for sure! I suspect, like many Irish horses, he prefers galloping and jumping! Great job, Karen!

Watching it on foxtel, via the kids xbox live!!

Top class coverage, zero problems so far.

I have better luck with IE than Firefox.

Yes, go KOC! What an atmosphere that has got to be in there.

The Russian guy… I dunno, I just can’t imagine cross country going all that well for him.

Ooooh there’s some really nasty dressage going on. They all look very spooky.

I’m using Chrome and had brilliant transmission for Boyd and the early rides - got to see Nicola! Wow that was nice, haven’t seen her score. Since then it is all dead, even the scores page. All other websites working fine on my computer. I wonder if NBC is getting more traffic than they expect for so dark-early on a Saturday morning in America! So I missed Karen’s ride, boo.

But Aussies in 1st and 2nd at the moment. Big congratulations to Sam Griffiths and Happy Times who had about 48 hours notice that they would be competing …

And of course cudos to Frank Ostholt for training that horse so well. Let’s see how desperate the german team will miss this combination.
That was a brilliant coup - weaken the german team, strengthen the own team. Unlike others, here it does work that way. Good for the horse.

Just want to add that if you pick it up mid-stream you can go back to the beginning and watch from there :). I tried to wake up at 4 to watch, but going to bed at 2 doesn’t really help. Hopefully you can continue the stream after it is done.

German just had a very nice ride.

Irish rider looks pretty good too…

Thanks for the tip! Watching Boyd’s test now

ETA: Otis looked great. He is going to be a real force at the next WEG! And fingers crossed they blaze a great trail on Monday !

yup, Aoife got 48.9. Great score. Hawley Bennett Awad looks to be doing lovely test now too.

Live scoring here.

Is there a more detailed scoring page with the percentages anywhere?

Has anybody tried increasing the flash storage for NBC here; (Flash settings manager) http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

Highlight nbc in the bottom box and bump the slider up a notch (It should be at 100kb - 1 notch and it’s 1mb). It may help with the pauses.

After all my bitching, I’m able to watch on the BBC, with many freezes, through expat shield. Its lunch now, so the complete video replay that’s available is very welcome.

Does anyone know if Chrome is faster for live streaming than Firefox?

I have had perfect feed. No hitches at all. I am on a MacBook Pro with Safari.
