watching now ...

Having a devil of a time getting decent streaming. There’s too much stuff on the page- flash content on its own is fine but the rest of everything is way heavy for my machine.

ETA that I was finally able to get something stable on Chrome.

Haven’t tried with anything but my iPhone so far (no wifi currently), but it’s worked perfectly so far. I don’t know diddly about dressage, so I prefer eventing dressage as it’s not so technical and far easier for me (H/J rider) to see the quality of each movement.

I loved how thrilled Mary King was with her ride!

has anyone worn a helmet in the dressage phase?

Watching on my MAC for well over an hour and it was smooth and perfect - my husband was watching it right next to me on his brand spanking new Toshiba he got yesterday and it froze up and got behind. I don’t understand how that works. He’s watching archery now with no problems. Does it have more to do with your cable and computer than the signal itself? We were on at the exact same time!

no

I heard one of the swedes and one of the brazilians wore one.
It’s funny, there will be more helmets worn in real dressage than in eventing dressage.

Well, been watching for over an hour and just when Tiana comes in, it freezes up. CRAP!

Tiana is having a not good go in dressage. I’m listening on BBC and am enjoying Ian Stark immensely. We should have sent Sinead (IMO)

Tiana’s ride was steady, not brilliant. Good for her first time on the such a nerve-wracking stage!

Well, at least it was not the disaster that the previous rider from Ecuador had! YIKES!

vineyridge, how do I get the BBC commentation sound stream? !!!

Well, that’s fine except that she was selected because her dressage is supposed to be so good.

I have the expat shield program, and am running the Olympics from BBC Sport on Comodo Dragon. Sound goes along with sight.

viney, am afraid to try to switch from BBC at this point, but thanks.

Agree that if they put Tiana on the squad ahead of Sinead because she was going to nail the dressage, they didn’t get what they were hoping for today.

I’m sorry if someone already asked this question, but I’m SO frustrated right now I may have missed the answer.

How exactly does one watch the equestrian sports if they are not a major network customer?

We don’t get cable or anything, only Internet, and I would REALLY enjoy watching, but I can’t figure out how to do it/which website actually works.

very nice test for Andrew - but, yikes, my buffering problems are annoying!

Mine froze during Mary King and came back just in time for Tiana… wasn’t wow’d. Wish I had gotten to see a few rides before her to know the test, but I do know it looked like a rotten crooked halt. Oh well. They took a gamble, and it’s not paying off. But if Arthur had been the gamble… we might be happy today and disappointed Monday.

If you are having FREEZING PROBLEMS check your Internet Explorer Add-ons and disable what you don’t need. Some interfere (like Silverlight, Java).

10 for Ingrid’s entry.

and… Australia now has all four riders ahead of our top rider. We better perform on Monday and Tuesday, cause we’re starting out in the back seat.
