Watching Rolex online?

Sally’s commentary made me so nervous for their ride. I was holding my breath the whole time!

Arthur

Absolutely LOVED Sallie’s comment after they become the new leaders;
‘She did it, she broke into the 30s. Who says dressage can’t be exiting. It’s NOT like watching grass grow’
:smiley:

WFP

And also Sallie’s comment about WFP;
‘The whole object of dressage is to make the horse a better athlete’
LOVING her comments
:lol:

Well … is there a halo effect for the judge knowing that this horse could be in their lap at any second - but he did his test instead? Thanks to wonderful riding? :lol: :smiley:

You go girl!!! I will be kicking myself when the one year I’m not able to attend they go all the way!!!

You have to love how she’s stuck with him, particularly after hearing that other pros thought he was not necessarily worth the difficulty of his spookiness. She is one determined rider. Go Arthur & Alison.

I can’t believe I MISSED that ride! Ugh, I was in my only class that doesn’t allow “notetaking” on laptops :stuck_out_tongue:
It’s not a productive weekend, folks.

when is the lunch break over and they start back live?

It was 1 pm EDT yesterday.

It’s 1 today as well. :slight_smile:

Sigh…Hoping to catch some while on lunch break.
I guess not.

Does anyone know - is Brittany Lunney (1:40) the youngest rider this time?

I am happy to see more riders from between KY & CA this time - Morris & Eykamp both based in TX; Brittany is (or was?) from Colorado; Barb Crabo from AZ. It would be nice to think the quality of eventing is going up across the U.S. Of course it remains to be seen how they do.

Also looking forward to seeing Andrew Hoy. He used to be there every year, but hasn’t the last few.

A lot of interesting rides coming up this afternoon … betting the top of the leaderboard has a few more bumps coming. :wink:

ohh when are they airing the reining? I see it is Friday and Saturday…

also… I may have missed this but who is commentating?! Lucinda Green?

I’m really hoping they will offer the “on demand” so I can watch more of it. I’ve been able to catch a little here and there while at work. But have missed some good rides.

So far it’s not posted. I had hoped they would have loaded yesterday last night. :frowning:

And I want to watch the XC as I won’t be home all day tomorrow.

I’ve paid in past years for online coverage on Universal. They were really good at posting quickly. I didn’t mind paying as it was still cheaper than going!

Commentator - Sally O’Connor - quite a bit of posting about her commentary earlier in this thread

Oh, ok! I just thought you meant her talking about her ride not commentating the whole dressage days! Thank you for clarifying

Just curious - for those who have seen Beth Perkins’ horse (Sal Dali) go in other events - is he always that snotty in the dressage? I felt SO bad for her - she was one of my riding idols when I was a kid and even more so now, to make it back to 4-star level. But boy did she take it like a champ. I didn’t see anything she could have done differently, did anyone else who was watching?

I really think it is not just the Rolex venue – I think many horses have seen crowds, but not the high bleacher stands before. How did all those people get up there in the air !!! :eek:

Barb Crabo won the last AEC division - I don’t remember if it was I, 2*, A, 3* … but she & Everready are AEC champions.
