Lol, my grey cat MoJo who has been gone for 6 years now also had a permanent scowly face. Everyone thought he was mad all of the time but it was just how he held his face. He was also a Circus Bear Cat and would beg for tuna.

Nope. Both track cats though. Sassy, the bigger one on top, was a bottle baby my daughter found at Vernon Downs in NYS that she raised. Beans was hanging out in our shedrow at Rideau Carleton. DD fell in love and brought her home. Fortunately they get along just fine and tolerate the dogs.

I’ve been to Vernon Downs a few times, really enjoyed being in the backstretch.

Ruby, my Beagle, sleeps under beds rather than on them.

The cat climbed on, Ru moved, the cat attacked, and Ru didn’t know what to do, terrified of the cats claws.

I travelled to Vernon Downs long ago to see some horses. I really enjoyed my visit there.

It’s a beautiful spot. I’ve enjoyed all my visits there, not so much if the horses weren’t racing well.

The track is amazing too. The maintenance guys at Rideau could take some lessons from them.

It is a nice track and the back stretch is set up nicely as well, it’s where I met Duck Duck Goose.

I’ve never been to Rideau, I raced my horses mostly at Mohawk and Flamboro.

Gris and his dobe bud Ella. They are quite a couple of characters. Ella ceremonially presents him with a stuffed toy first thing every morning and he responds by giving it a few good rabbit kicks much to her delight.

He was purportedly from two lynx point Siamese parents but has sprouted a full assortment of dots, swirls and stripes so perhaps more of a mystery mix moggie.

This was Maximus back in 2016. (My God, that seems so long ago . . .) I was sick. He watched me take a tissue from the box next to me on the bed. Then this happened.

Cats figure out the tissue box pretty quick! Mine wrestled a brand new paper towel roll that I forgot to put away. It was shredded.
