We need some cute Kitty pics to cheer us up

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again.

Cats are weird. Period.

Maybe this is why my Amaryllis belladonna bulbs aren’t thriving in a pot……?

(They are just camped here temporarily until I decide on a place in the real ground to plant them, the board was to try and keep the-not-so-svelte Emma out of the pot (apparently unsuccessfully)).

Yes. I have no idea what Angel was enthralled with? She kept slinking off then would come back and stare some more. That is an electric ‘fireplace’ heater .

my aged cat, Puddin’, has become enthralled with my walk in shower. I’ve only had it about 2 years, and at first when I left the door open someone unhelpfully peed in it several times. So It remains closed unless I am entering or exiting. But she has begun staring at it. Maybe she sees her reflection. But she hates the other two so I doubt that is it.

BiL took a vacation to Seoul and Toyko and came back with a little Taekwondo gi for Gemma. We are very proud that she is already a yellow belt!

That is so stinking cute (especially that she allowed you to put it on her).

Poor kitties. I can’t imagine how scary it was for humans and animals. How many people were away from home and couldn’t get back home to save their pets? Will these neighborhoods recover? Where did the residents go?

A very sad reminder to microchip your pets.

Not a photo, but I think it belongs here :smile_cat::rofl:

Horrible situation. Lots of people away, perhaps more so with the Palisades Fire which started mid-morning. But it moved so fast that some people who were home had to leave animals behind.

I have a friend that spent three hours getting their semi-feral kitten into a carrier. Fortunately the fire wasn’t moving that fast at that point.

I just saw something about a cat that was just found, two months after the Palisades fire, wandering near her now-burned former home. That cat was reunited with her owner.

The rebuilding issue is complex. Some people are choosing to leave. The Palisades could become even more exclusive. Altadena could lose some of its character. At this point they’re still scraping off lots to clear them. Altadena has a program with several pre-approved sets of housing plans that can be modified a bit: this should help to move things along. But it will still be years. A friend in Altadena lost her house and studio but got her dogs and cameras out. They have a rental and are planning to rebuild. She’s working on a photo project that will document her journey and that of Altadena.

Happy floofs! I got kicked in the knee a week ago and am waiting to find out how damaged it is. My kitties have been my constant companions as I sit around like a bum.

Beautiful fluffy kitties. Hope they are being good “nurse kitties” for you.

That’s amazing that a kitty came back. I’ll bet that was healing for the family.

Awww, orange kitty got left out of the fluff love-fest.

Oh all the floofs have been taking good care of me haha! And they all get along pretty darn well.
