She’s MUCH cuter than a moray eel! (Teeth are pretty similar, though.)

Try snorkelling around the rock walls and have one come shooting out at your face! I was just a kid and it scared the sweet Jesus hell out of me. It reminded me of the head popping out of the sunken boat at Richard Dreyfuss.

She’s definitely a cutie! Not at all like a moray eel in looks. It was just her peeking out with, maybe, not the best intentions in mind, that made me think of an eel waiting for prey. Please apologize to her for me if I offended her.

Actually, the only thing she considers insulting is when I call her Cousin Itt.

Mostly it’s just when she’s chattering away about this or that or whatever. She sounds just like Cousin Itt on The Addams Family.
Truthfully, I think she’d find being compared to a moray rather a compliment . . .

It gets more fun. They have two sets of jaws, a regular one and a pharyngeal jaw that they can thrust forward to grab prey and pull it into the throat.

The kittens are growing up! This is their first play day away from their mom. They did great!
(Sad news which I hate to include in a post intended to be cheerful but one of the kittens didn’t make it. No idea why we lost her but they had a very rough start so it wasn’t a complete surprise. But the mom and the other three are thriving, happy kitties!)
