Look at her! She just knows they want to come out and is lying in wait the wretch! They outweigh her - they ought to just trying bowling her over.
Just get a can of food, put it in the crate, and Frankie will go right in. Frodo. Whatever you decide to name him!
Enjoying a bowl of fresh cat grass. Duncan off to the left, Baler to the right and Jack standing in the middle of the planter. You can’t really see Pearl behind them. Baler was not sure about the cat grass but when he saw the others chowing on it, he was sold. He does whatever the Big Boys do.
It’s Duncan! Such a handsome boy. I was so happy to see on the other thread that he’s continuing to feel better.
Your other kitties are very pretty, too. What a lovely “herd.”
Do your cats not puke when they eat the grass? I bought one of the small pots of cat grass at Petsmart and was cleaning it up for days!
I have a container of cat grass available year round inside the house. When I open the enclosure in the nice weather they always have one or two big containers available. All six of them graze on grass year round but only puke it up if they have an upset tummy or a hair ball ready to spew.
Speaking of cats puking, Johnny had started puking his food up anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour after eating. This cat gets some huge hairballs as well so I thought that the food could be sitting on top of a moving hairball and not able to get through the digestive tract. Johny is a long cat and I thought part of the problem might be that the food dish is too low sitting on the floor, so what he was eating wasn’t going all the way down, plus he’s a heathen and does not chew any of his food.
So I put the food dish up higher and started giving mineral oil to all of them once a week. I’m not sure if it was moving the food dish, the mineral oil or a combination but Johnny has only puked up two small hairballs in four weeks. Huzzah!
SOMEone threw up but I do not know who but they mostly can keep it down. They love their little garden.
And I love to watch them jockey for the “best” position to devour the “best” grass.
They’re twice her weight yet they know who rules the roost! They can’t bowl her over because she’s on the little walkway above the door. They end up flying out the door as quick as they can so they only get a little whack. Then after awhile Ella comes back in and sits on the desk waiting to get them as they come back in. This happens every day at least 2-3 times, it’s become their routine. Makes me laugh every time!
lol What a stinker!
She’s a horrible tease, she gets the boys all wound up then hides behind me or Ralph.
I have a lovely tabletop fountain in a a big copper tub, but the cats kept burning out the pump because you had to take the reservoir apart to see the water level and they drank it down faster than I could fill it. It was $30 every time I had to replace it.
Now they have to make do with a water bowl like the poor underprivileged cats of the world!
I always drink a glass of water when I’m at home. Most of my cats feel free to help themselves to my water.
My sister has a cat, Eugene, that loves water or iced tea glasses.
I stopped by one day and he put on a great show.
First, he dipped his paw into her half full glass of tea. Then he shoved his face in and took a drink. Next, he sneezed in it as he was pulling his head out. Finally, he started the “push the glass toward the edge of the table” routine which got shut down.
I’m putting the name “Eugene” into my files as a possible name for the next kitty that enters my life. What a great name!
All the pets in our family have had human names.
“Eugene” got his name from the character in “Bob’s Burgers”, lol! Their other cat is “Murray”.
I have “Lowell” and “Earl”. Mom has “Rhoda” and “Jake”.
Fun family tradition!
Wait, I was a devoted Bob’s Burgers watcher, but I can’t place Eugene who is he?
Speaking of Bob’s, I follow Peace for Ponies on FB donkey rescue. They got baby in last fall who was in really bad shape. A lady used to make ‘hats’ to go over her ears she looked like Louise
Eugene is the son, they mostly call him Gene.
I would love to see a baby donkey in Louise ears! Hope she didn’t turn out as evil as Louise, lol!
