Looks like you have a house full of love. Lucky girl!
No kitten pics. I adopted Ms. Angel last year and she was 7 yo. I bet she was a darling kitten…with her crooked tail.
Susan
I don’t have many, but we got our first Siamese Sebastian as a kitten in the early 90s.
He was the perfect balance of being tolerant of us and also keeping us in check/teaching us how to respect his personal space/boundaries…
He lived to be 17. He was a great friend and introduced us to the breed
I rescued Rotten Ralph and John Coltrane from two separate abuse situations. They were so young that I kept and carried them around in my sweater for two weeks.
Rotten Ralph
Getting bigger!
CharlieParker(Bird) and Dizzy Gillespie. Both taken from their mum way too early before I rescued them. They were abandoned in a run down apartment on the wrong side of town, their mum was nowhere to be found.
Ella Fitzgerald.
Ella found me. Her mum had given birth to Ella and her littermates under my house and then died, leaving the kittens to all starve. Ella was the only one to survive after she started coming out and onto the front porch one day whenever she heard my voice. It took a long time to catch her, she was terrified and starving.
She had Rotten Ralph at “Hello”.
I remember when Dizzy and Bird were teener beeners - so cute. And now they are great big galumphs. They never lost those cute kitty faces.
Ella in the pot made me laugh. That face.
They are all clearly adored.
Myth, the day I brought him home (rescued barn cat):
Sonnet, the day I brought her home (abandoned in a bank vestibule):
as adults:
Lore the day he staggered into the barn:
a week later (doubled his body weight):
That last picture of them in my arms is when they were still under 1yr old. They’re huge now at 5yrs old. Bird still demands to be picked up and cuddled and it’s getting harder and harder because he’s so heavy.
Speaking of “beeners”, here’s Billie Holiday aka “Beaner Weiner”. I have no kitten pictures of her because I adopted her as a adult feral rescue. Here she is with Dizz and Bird, she adopted them when they came to live with us.
Our baby Maine coon kitty has certainly livened up the wildness factor in our house hahaha. He’s so funny. And my other 2 cats got over having a new intruder in the house and accepted him within a few days- I was pleasantly surprised!!
OMG, that photo of Sonnet and Myth is so sweet! And Lore looks like he could have Maine Coon in him!
I feel like everyone has seen all my photos of Hammie and Itty-Bitty!
Itty Bitty a few days after she arrived:
Itty Bitty at about 8 months:
Hammie, about 8 weeks (approximately 2 weeks after he arrived):
And Hammie and Itty-Bitty together.
Love Hammie and Itty Bitty! The pictures are before Itty’s Bitty’s reign of terror.
Yes, they are . . . sigh. Although let’s be honest: she was ALWAYS a holy terror! It’s just that when she was little, it was cute.
The pic of Myth and Sonnet is one of my favs of any of my pets. I have a framed version in the bedroom. Myth was who converted my DH from a staunch cat-hater to a fan, as he was basically a yellow lab in a cat body (right down to playing fetch and loving belly rubs).
Agree Lore looks like there could be some Maine Coon in there, and as a kitten his giant feet made us expect him to be huge. He also has the softest fur of any cat I have ever had. Those of you with Maine Coons, is that also a breed trait? The vet suggested part ragdoll, but I have no experience with those.
I was lucky enough to foster Gemma since the day she was born, so my phone is full of teeny tiny baby pics of the cutest baby ever.
Previous to the summer of foster kittens, I had the urge to get a baby, and my barn-mate was fostering alitter. I saw a spotty, ringed-tailed nose splot with GIANT ears and I had to have him. Milo grew to be huge, but his ears are still massive.
And finally, this is the 1st pic of Wheatabix. He was prob 9 months here? Basically a kitty pre-teen so walked into our apartment with road paint on his paws and a scratched up nose. He promptly gobbled some kibble, smacked my cat in the face and took a 14 hour nap. He’s owned us ever since.
Such pretty babies!
LOL - too funny.
At least he is on the floor and not in the middle of the bed like some giant lump. Or scurrying around under the covers “helping.” Yes, you Baler.
