The WEC Premier Cup is this Saturday, 2/10 in Ocala. Streaming will be available via USEF Network/CMH.
I’m looking forward to it. I didn’t watch last year because it was moved to an indoor because of bad weather, but two years ago I watched and judged along… I like to use that class and the evening hunter derbies to practice judging since I’m able to watch the entire class!
Thanks for the heads up! What time does the class start?
WEC schedule says 7pm to 9pm - I’m trying to find something definitive for the streaming schedule but not having much luck yet. I believe in previous years Round 2 and the work off were under the lights. I can’t recall if the first round was available to stream or not?
Thanks!
I kind of think the first round has been available on the live stream in the past, although my own schedule has not meshed with the time it was on.
Who is judging?
There are a bunch of different judges listed in the prize list for this week. Of that group, I am guessing the most likely candidates would be Scott Hofstetter and Keri Kampsen. Or maybe Robin Brown. But that is total conjecture on my part.
This is the schedule that is posted right now for Saturday at WEC.
The equitation class starts at 1:30 with 63 entries. Then the flat phase with the top 20 is scheduled for 5:45, and the second round over jumps at 7:30 PM.
Thanks, I was just about to post that link! (https://horseshowing.com/schedule.php - need to change the day to Saturday)
If you expand the 1:30 line you can view the entries.
Looks like both rounds are scheduled to be on CMH/USEF Network.

So who’s watching? Not thrilled with the rider behavior when the first horse got scared. We have got to start teaching our juniors that the world is watching and jerking a horse around is not something that should be seen. I get frustration - we’ve all been there. But in today’s world, this is hurting the sport.
I must have missed that. Watched the first couple of rounds and had to close the stream because the ridiculous camera work and crazy zoom in zoom out was making me nauseous. Hopefully they’ll fix that in the next couple of hours and I’ll see you lovely folks for the flat.
Disappointed that there is no commentary. Hopefully there will be some for the second round.
Is anyone else’s audio feed off? We are hearing basically two feeds on top of each other.
Mine is working well, so far.
I’m surprised that some of these horses don’t have a rail down with their enormous tails.
I just got home- is the first round still going? I’ll hustle to set up the TV!
Last one in the ring. Hasn’t been a great class - some really nice trips and lots of looking and stops. Cut off at 78 before this last horse.
Am I the only one having to squint and tilt my head to maybeeee see some extension of the trot and canter in this flat class?
Nope.
