WEC Premier Equitation Cup 2024

Leadline is over. Second round should start soon (7:30 EST.)

Leadline was tough tonight! At least two had to dismount because of anxious ponies

Elizabeth Rinehart’s horse was not having the whole leaving the in gate business. She did a nice job of keeping her composure and getting him around.

Can anyone hear the female commentator? Very faint on my feed.

Tough start for Elizabeth Rinehart, whose horse did not enjoy the light glinting off the car and ran sideways away from it, but a very tactful ride on her part to simmer him down and get him around with reasonable composure.

@Tackpud I had to turn up the volume to get her commentary, too. She seems a bit far from the mic. Do we know who she is?

It was on the screen earlier but I didn’t note down who they are. I’ve got it turned all the way up and can barely hear a word she says. The gentleman comes through just fine.

This ring is tough at night!

Why would the judges announce scores in the first round and not for the top 20?

I don’t love those angled square rails on the star hedge skinny we keep seeing on the way to the ingate. If a horse knocks that rail, it’ll really sting.

Commentators are Catie Staszak and Adam Cromarty.

Thank you!

Probably required to score first round in class specs. Then testing not always required.

Goodness, this Valentino horse is a long tall drink of water. His legs go on for years! Handsome fellow. I hope he settles into himself by the end- he’s quite backed off in here.

Ava Barnes’ horse Valentino is LOVELY. They were 4th in the derby last night. She had another lovely lovely big chestnut horse last night too

Agreed, it also looks like the jump is backward with the way the stars are pointing

Starting to see some nice trips getting put down here!

None of us care one iota about the golf cart spectators. Keep the camera on the horse in the ring before the replays. Ugh.

I’m with you… except I can get with the clips of the Corgi. We can see that dog again.

I wish the commentators wouldn’t talk about what the rider has done in the past for the entire round, and start speaking about what is happening now.

I just love Christian on this horse. What a solid and trustworthy partnership.

I should’ve known this was Maddie and Daktari. This horse is just a doll.
