Maddie has done an amazing job with this horse. He’s come so far under her riding. Nice pair!

You can see the experience shining through in these kids who are up towards the top of the class. A lot of the ones in the bottom half of the top 20 came in backed off, and it wasn’t always the horse! These kids we’re seeing now know they need to come in and pick up a lick and go- it’s a big ring, let’s get on a confident stride and get the job done.

Rylynn’s stick is distracting, especially against a light gray shoulder. Makes her hands look busier than I think they actually are.

I’d test Christian, Olivia, Maddie, and Eleanor in that order, but I can see putting Maddie on top.

I think Eleanor is still on top based on the entire day, but Maddie is giving her a run for the car. But I don’t know the angle where the judges are sitting, and we sure don’t see every step on the live feed. I’m just happy the feed is working.

The feed has been quite good! No complaints from here (I only tuned in at 7 for the second round.)

Hmmm… Yeah. Didn’t see that.
I think we all are. I didn’t see half this group coming.
16th to 4th is a massive climb. Good on Izzy.
I can see Izzy moving up. She rode decisively and confidently and laid down quite a solid trip. I thought other rounds in front of her did the same thing with more polish. I saw her lose her stirrup over the last jump, and noted down that I didn’t think the judges could see it- it bounced right back onto her foot a moment later.

I didn’t think Mae had a final four second round. Really thought Christian would be in there.
