Which 30 qualified…how many Americans? Cant find it anywhere…no one seems to care about jumping just eventing and dressage. PatO
Both Laura and McLain qualified. Laura’s in 19th and McLain’s in 26th.
I thought the same thing for eventing.
But if you go to the heading of Horse sports, and scroll down, there is a seperate section for WEG. Click on that and there is a live blog for each discipline while the competition is on. If you are unable to watch, they give a blow by blow account. Well worth it. Great service.
Yes, we’re here at the WEG covering ALL the competitions for the Chroncile! Find all the WEG news at http://www.chronofhorse.com/2010weg.
We’ve done extensive coverage of the show jumping and will be doing our live coverage and analysis blog again this evening for the individual qualifier. 30 riders come back, with Laura Kraut and McLain Ward in the mix for the US, though they’re in the bottom of the pack.
Make sure to join us tonight for all the action, and then read all about all the WEG competitions in the print magazine as well, where we have in depth analysis of the events.
Laura and Cedric withdrew before the Horse Inspection this morning, so it is just Mclain & Sapphire for the US tonight.
Why did she withdraw?
Don’t know and don’t want to speculate. All I know is she was on the Order to be inspected and did not, so is out of the competition. I do know is was voluntary.
That’s really too bad about Cedric … I was hoping the little guy had settled and was going to come out strong tonight
Hope he’s okay. Things haven’t gone well for the USA.
Go McLain and Sapphire!!
(I sure hope Cedric is ok)
There’s a news note about Cedric’s withdrawl on the main page of the Chronicle’s website www.chronofhorse.com. Keep in mind that we’re here reporting all the news and are your go-to source for all the action.
Thanks, Molly. This is crazy exciting.
I saw Sapphire for US and Hickstead for Canada go double clear at Spruce, the marvellous chestnut mare, so rideable and calm against the explosive and huge jumping stallion Hickstead - with a fraction of a second between them.
Is this on tonight American time? Dummy in Ireland is trying to find coverage and it’s not on any of the regular stations? So what time if anyone knows.
Terri
FEI TV has it starting at 8 p.m. US Eastern.
Thanks WA, but me thinks I will catching zzz’s at that time!
Will check CoTH early am.
Terri
Oooh. So it’s on FEITV and Universal Sports?
I bought Universal Sports, but I’m going to be at my sig other’s tonight, and he can’t get Silverlight to work on his beloved Linux boxes. FEITV uses Flash, so I might just buy that and watch.
Jumping starting NOW on FEItv
I was getting worried, because at first they were showing the vaulting.
Just finished watching 1.5 hours of one round on my TV on Universal Sports. They show the next round starting at 5:30 PDT for another 1.5 hours.
Go Eric!
What happened to MM Beerbaum & Pablo Barrios?
Meredith had a funny fence resulting in a rail at that fence and a drive-by for the next fence. I thought for a moment that she might end up in the “river” that the riverboat jumps were in. She then did a courtesy fence and voluntarily withdrew.
