Interesting hearing Lucinda talk about how much effort Laura has put into her own fitness/strength along with her horse’s fitness for the Pratoni hills.

yes, Susie Berry. I thought she had a very nice entrance and halt, and then 60 flashed up on points, and I thought whaaaa? Several had marks like 40 for a nice entrance so I am just a little confused. (But I am often confused!)

oh weird it could have been they just hadn’t entered the scores all in yet?

Lets go Dana!!! :canada: :canada: :canada:

One Brazilian horse was withdrawn before dressage.

Now I’m curious to watch when the replay is up! Is it possible she changed leads coming into the halt or perhaps halted at the wrong letter? That would do it if it was otherwise pleasant.

ETA- Yes, he changed leads right before the halt. Automatic 4 from the judges.

I actually thought the jog outfits were great for team USA women and men. They were very classy and well dressed. And I’m pretty sure Lauren is sponsored by The Hound & Hare in Lexington and I’m guessing that’s where the outfits came from.

As an UL rider, the jog is viewed as a way to “get a little more dressed up” than the normal outfit of breeches and tall boots. As in years past, the outfits are coordinated by the lady riders and for the men rider. For a few years it was blazers, khakis and cowboy hats. I highly doubt that they would allow boyd to wear his :us: Suit for the WC :joy:

If you are FB, US Eventing fb page has most of the important info and links regarding the WC. And pictures of all the xc fences in order from their walk yesterday. Also have a link to the FEI WC info with time tables and scores, etc. ton of good info

If you happen to catch Will’s post-ride interview that is posted on social media, you’ll see that he agrees with you - he said that there were no highlights in the test per se, but that he squeezed every point out that he could by trying to be very correct. Apparently when he got on to warm up this morning, he could tell that was the kind of ride he was going to have to go for.

Interesting that two of the three 18-year-olds (the oldest horses in the field) are the two smallest - Milana 23 is 15.2hh and Jollybo is not much bigger. Having seen Molly’s excellent performance at Burghley aged 19, and knowing she is also not a big horse…I wonder what, if anything, that says about size contributing to longevity.

I think it was super windy there, horses were a bit on edge

you are correct! I didn’t see that. So that is probably why I saw several others with a really high first move, then they righted themselves.

Ugh, so I feel stupid here (a common occurrence when it comes to technology!), but I left for several hours - after logging in and watching a couple of tests this morning - and when I came back, my !#$%&#! laptop had shut itself off, logging me out and losing all of my tabs.

I was able to get back on CMH, but couldn’t find the live feed for Pratoni (figured today’s tests were probably over), and when I typed it into search, Pratoni Eventing Championships popped up - but when I clicked on it, it said “we can’t find what you’re looking for.”

GAH! Are there replays? (she asks, hopefully), and how does one access them?

Help?! (And TIA.)

I have already had major tussles with that website, but I just went there and it popped right up.

THANK you!

ClipMy Horse…my solution was to save my account page…so I end up there first.
then there is a button in the upper left of the page that says “live”
I click on that …and it takes me to the page where I see what is “live” today
and I can select “English” commentary for the Patroni dressage.
I agree the site is very difficult to navigate.
