Well, that didnt take long

How would she get it? FB wouldn’t offer revenue. I think her website would have to have clicked on ads. Maybe even purchases. She could get revenue from YT views but I think there is a long way to go before that.

I don’t think there is revenue but I don’t really know how it all works.

When you click on the DH YT channel do you see ads for random stuff? That means her channel is “monetized” and she gets a % of ad revenue depending on viewers and engagement for that video. The ads are random because targeted to the viewer.

FB can be used to draw viewers to YT.

The DH YT channel was being actively suggested to me until I requested it not be shown. She has a lot of subscribers built up from the early days of stealing a lot of pro competition videos.

Oh, shoot. I thought we were talking about Northern Lightness who has very few views on YT and no ads. Yea, I’m with you, I don’t watch anything from DH on YT. I only visit DH’s FB occasionally because I know solely viewing FB post won’t harvest revenue.

Most of her revenue is from YT. That’s why she steals other people’s videos, adds her logo and reposts them as her own, rather than sharing links to the original content.

It looks like a full-cheek snaffle to me, rather than a curb, but I could be wrong.

I wish it were but it’s a curb. You can see the snaffle and curb reins in the hands. Bradoon is too narrow for the mouth making it hide behind the curb’s shank. I can certainly see why you thought full cheek snaffle. I got that from Northern Lightness’s FB and pretty much every horse is ridden in a double like this for a reason beyond us.

Yes. Years ago a friend rode in one of his clinics at a local barn, she asked for her money back. I think I follow the same pro that you are referring to in another post. I was horrified by her riding.

Her riding looks bad enough, and it’s virtually a carbon copy of this Northern Lightness person. But it’s the constant evangelism about having her eyes opened to how abusive modern dressage is and how she’s finally on the path to true dressage, yada yada yada that rubs me the wrong way, since to my knowledge she has never trained with an actual dressage trainer or competed in dressage.

She was moaning online one day about how all modern dressage horses break down at a young age, but she couldn’t provide any specific examples when asked. Someone then asked if she had any stats comparing the rates of break down in young dressage horse with young race horses, for example, and she got her knickers in a mighty knot. Not surprising since one of their main businesses seems to be training and racing TBs lol.

And then there’s the horse with kissing spine and God knows what other lamenesses who she is “rehabbing” thanks to the genius guidance of Herr Hollenbach. How do people like him con seemingly experienced, intelligent horse people into falling for his BS?

It’s a shame, because she seemed to run a decent program with trail rides, groundwork, and novice lessons before she drank the krazy koolaid

Yup that’s the same person. I’m sure I saw a post where the poor TB with kissing spine and navicular has been rehomed as their rehab didn’t work. No surprise there.

Huh. You mean trying to convince people to pay for the privilege of leasing a lame horse and continuing his “rehab” wasn’t successful? I can’t imagine why…

What does thoracolumbar and biotensegrity on her webpage mean?

This is the weirdest video I’ve ever seen.

I’m past 4 minutes and I’m still waiting to see some sign of the horse bending, or her attempting to get him to.

And the big door with only one gate is bothering me.

The “kick wall” that looks like it’s made of old pallets, with the spacing pretty much designed to trap a foot.

Arggghhhh

Ugh, I follow for the beautiful pictures … of the landscape and architecture. I am just about done though because the rest of the nonsense is really getting under my skin.

I didn’t know what that meant so I wasn’t sure if it was a word or not LOL glad I’m not alone on that haha

Build your own sectional, with your horse to lounge on after?

This person is in Ontario?

The ladder just chilling in the corner was making me nervous. I was getting scary images of a horse kicking it and either getting a leg stuck or it just plain falling down and causing an accident.

I was doing a PPE years ago, and this little buckskin pinto mare was standing in crossties while I pulled a front shoe.
When I pulled one of the nails, it pressed on the quick, and she sat back a bit, resulting in a board being pulled out of the wall, causing a schoolroom sized blackboard to fall, which in turn caused a ladder leaning against it to tip aislewards and end up on the mare’s back.

She stood there shaking a bit, but stood, while I, having seen my life flash before my eyes, removed the ladder.

A colleague who was there turned to the parent who was having the PPE done (first horse for his kids) and said, “I don’t care if this mare is crippled. Buy her.”

He did, she worked out fine, and I kept an eye on her because I considered buying her for my niblings, but never got the chance–she had a waiting list.
