Wellfleet bridles on sale at Smartpak
I suspect there will be many on the secondary market soon when people discover the ones they bought don’t fit and go to resell them. Hang tight those who missed out! Check CL, ebay, etc.
Hopefully not for double the price… if anyone has a regular horse size, please let me know!

Also posting for anyone’s secondary Cob size! My TB has the tiniest head ever.

I just ordered a horse sized double raised. I’m not sure that it will fit my TB, so if it doesn’t, I will pass it on to someone else for the same price, or trade for a cob size in most any of the wellfleet series.

I jsut ordered the oversized one… justifying with the free shipping to the barn… only $55. My poor horse’s schooling bridle is really ugly (another deal I could not pass up). He has a moose head, so I am hoping it fits nicely. I should not have opened this thread, but the bridle was so pretty!

OK, so I just caved and ordered the Nantucket dressage bridle… with SmartPerks pricing, it was $78. I had been casually looking for a cob size Vespucci dressage bridle (those are a perfect fit for my gelding), but I finally decided this price was just too good to pass up, even if the fit is not as perfect as Vespucci. Truth be had, I don’t love the Vespucci quality anyway…

Really?? I found my Vespucci for 1/2 off (some discolorationg on the reins I think due to being in a display window). I LOVE it, and always get nice compliments on it. As a regular horse size, it’s a tad big for my TB’s teeny tiny little head, and so I’ve been looking for another nice quality show bridle but can’t find anything I like as much as the Vespucci (I guess I’m spoiled now) for a price I can afford.

I don’t knwhen the leather changed-- but I think it did at some point. The newer ones are not nearly as nice as the older ones IMHO. The old ones have nice leather but IME stretch.

Sigh. Add a regular martingale to my “if it doesnt work for you” request. My horse decieded to chew the girth loop (???) when I wasnt looking… How he managed that Im not quite sure.

And for anyone who decides to take the plunge and buy the new Wellfleets, let us know how they are quality wise!!!

They look beautiful, just really wished Smartpak offered interchangeable nosebands.

Have an old Vespucci monocrown, love the monocrown but hate the noseband. Bought cob sized Wellfleet on sale, love the wide noseband and the browband. Two bridles for parts = one nice bridle!

darn! I was too slow! Only Oversized left if anyone is still looking. Add me to the list if someone wants to part with a cob later

I have four bridles, and one horse. I have a show bridle, so no excuse over being a tack whore. A new one is on the way, it’s a drop, I have no idea how he wold even go in that.

I have a 17.1 4yo warmblood with a TINY head…too tiny for a horse bridle, and apparently too big for a cob. I’m sending it back unless someone wants it…

(delete if not allowed, and my apologies!)

Mine is coming today! Very excited.

I ordered the Nantucket (dressage) in Cob and Wellfleet in O/S… together for $137! I don’t even care that I currently don’t have a (rideable) horse- these can stay in my tack trunk until they do- what a great deal!!

Mine comes in tomorrow! I have a sinking feeling that it will be too big and I will be looking for a cob size, but we will see tomorrow.

I ordered a few but the first to arrive was a cob size eventer bridle. Fit nice everywhere except for the noseband which pretty tight.

I got the cob size for my 16h QH-faced TB and it fits him beautifully. It’s definitely a keeper

Well- as you can see I was one of the first few posters on this thread. Caved and bought the bridle that I really did need (after my old Figure 8 grew legs and walked on its own). That being said…

I purchased my bridle right before I had posted that and had it saved to ship with my Smartpaks on 8/12. Well today, as I go to adjust my smartpaks… said bridle is in my previous orders but “out of stock expected to arrive 11/01”. I am pretty bummed about it- of course it was a birthday present to myself (and of course I find out its NOT coming today- on my birthday!). I called them and they have no idea what happened and now have to check with the inventory department again, to see if they have an allocated bridle for me- but it doesn’t look good as this is the second time they’re checking. I have the confirmation code from Saturday night! I feel like I get screwed over because I waited for shipping and it was an accident. I had showed friends the next morning and there were still O/S available 12+ hours later. I’m hoping maybe with some returns they will be able to send me one of the returned ones.

That being said- if anyone has a horse or O/S Figure 8 that happens to not fit. Please PM me!

ETA: I did cave and swiped the credit card for the Fancy Stitched Raised bridle. I guess just to have in case they dont come across the Figure 8.
