What are you paying your farrier for a full trim these days?

$40 for a trim from my excellent farrier.

$50 in PA

$40 here.

$55 for full trim every 8 weeks on retired horses. (not ridden, both have fabulous feet!)

$60 per horse including travel fees

$100 for two minis and a small pony.

$40-50 here in MD

$35 each for three horses, plus a $10 tip.

Same prices here. $30 trim/$60 for 2 shoes/$90 full set new. $5 or $10 cheaper for a reset.

$40-$45 is standard here for a trim.

Totally agree. And I realize in retrospect my comment may have sounded like I was “judging” those paying less on this thread. Not at all! I was just pointing out I’m paying a higher than typical price for my area, which tends to have a lot of very cheap services, but also a lot of lousy providers.

Wow, many of these prices are less than I was paying 20 years ago for farrier services!

$40 for a trim, $110 for full set of shoes in WNY.

$40.00

80 for the draft horse, 60 for the pony. In CT

Her normal price is 50 for trims, 110 for fronts (have not asked full set prices) lol but, she gives us about half price because our horses dont try to kill her like 80% of the rest of her clients. We also let her use our arena as needed. She does amazing work and we were extremely lucky to be picked up as her clients.

I think the average in my area is 40ish. I pay about $60 but she’s betond excellent and I have literally moved my horse to be in her catchment area.

$40

$35, and I’m very happy with his work. He is fast and does a great job, and is gentle with my doddery old pony.

$30 and always tip him $5.
