What are your favorite silicone grip breeches under $100?

I just got my first pair of silicone breeches, the new Ovation ones and I’m hooked! They have made no stirrup work so much easier.

I love my Ovation Aqua-X breeches with silicone.

I have a pair of the mid-rise Piper silicone breeches. I think they are one size too large. Or I’m just not used to silicone. When I post, I can feel them sticking below me. Then sometimes my silicone grip pulls the stirrup strap up while I’m riding. That must be my long loose legs though  I don’t think that’s normal.

Aside from that, I love them, and they were highly affordable.

I’ve been tempted to try a pair of Horze silicone breeches out, but have yet to do so.

The Pipers (I have the boot cut ones so not full seat), and the Kerrits ice fil ones.

Horze makes cute ones. The grips are little crowns

Sticky Seat eventer tights (which are a heavier fabric than typical tights).

@emipou I’ve heard this from many people but haven’t had this problem myself.

Different brands make different levels of silicone ‘stick’. For me, I much prefer kerrits (super comfy with big pockets) or horze (slightly sturdier fabric so they wear really really well).

for show, I recently splurged on Pikeurs and they are amazing! Worth every penny.

I love everything Kerrits, but I haven’t seen any of their breeches that are particularly sticky, unless I’ve missed something. One of my favorites is their fullseat icefil breech, but I don’t think it gives very much grip at all, they’re just incredibly comfortable. I did recently buy a pair of SmartPak fullseat silicone Pipers and I love them! SO sticky, a little tricky to get out of my car  but that’s what the silicone is for. I feel so much more secure with them and they fit me really well (5’9", 130ish lbs, I got the tall instead of regular). Only thing I would note is that they are kinda warm in the summer, but tolerable. I’m also sensitive to heat, hence why I love the Kerrits icefils, so that might not bother you.

I have some super cheap Tuff Riders and they are AWESOME?! They’re ventilated too

Kerrits Ice fil are so comfortable I wear them even on days I don’t ride. They start out pretty grippy but over time do seem to lose the stickiness.

I saw a pair for sale on Facebook a while back that were too small for me, but the silicone bits were skulls. No brand listed and I can’t find the ad to ask - anyone seen these?

The Ovation Aerowick tights are my favorite everyday breeches EVER. They appear to be kind of thin and flimsy on the rack (or at least they did to me) but they’re actually incredibly comfy, sturdy and practical. They fit great, look great on, wash great, dry fast, and are cheap as chips to boot:

The stickiness factor is reasonable and pleasant to ride in - not so over-the-top sticky that you feel like you’re going to fly out of your pants.

I have a ridiculous number of schooling breeches, but I’m constantly reaching for these guys just because they’re so comfortable and easy to wear,

Bought a pair of these thinking I would really love them, but a seam came loose immediately. Customer service was quick to replace them, which was great.

However, I have rarely worn them since, as they are not what I would describe as sticky, and I don’t find the fabric to be especially comfortable in hot, humid weather. I would not purchase another pair.

I don’t find the silicone on the Kerrits to be sticky AT ALL but the Tuff Rider and Smartpak ones are appropriately sticky.

I like the piper knit breeches with silicone. Never had any problems with them and they are very durable

I have black, and just ordered navy. I also saw the green (it’s actually a kind of olive) live at Adams Horse Supply, and that looked quite nice too, though in a somewhat military way.

I have chestnut horses and a lot of red-brown tack, so I think burgundy would make my eyes bleed, but that’s actually a very pretty color too.

I have them in the light gray, navy, and medium blue. I wear them a ton. Definitely worth the $46.

I love my smartpak piper silicone full seats. I HATE regular full seats - I use them for showing because Pipers only come in white full seat, but otherwise I gave away my supply of full seats because I despised them.
