But like Louise uses her middle name as a username, I go by my middle name. My Dad started it when I was a baby and it just stuck. If anyone calls me by my first name I usually ignore them. It was bad in college when the profs would call on me and I’d ignore them!!!

…stands for “Horse Show Mom”. However, as I’ve recently banned from all of dear daughter’s shows, maybe I’ll need to change it.
My horse’s show name is ‘Of Regal Means’ but OfRegalMeans looked weird and alot of time people think it’s OF Regal Means like the OF is a farm prefeix or whatever (that’s how it looks on my bracelet!) so it’s just Regalmeans. So is my email, IM, ICQ - etc. Yes, I am oh so terribly original.
Sarah * AKA “Regal’s Person”
Bumpkin was my A/O Hunter mare.
Her show name was Pantomime. (Pan Man x Miss Fallacy)
OTTB who was a fabulous jumper and went on to do well in Three Day Events with the juniour I leased her to.
She was almost pony sized and got the name Bumpkin from the Hobbit series where there were three ponies, Bumpkin, Lumpkin and I cannot recall the last ponies name. Sassy Tail or something???
So in honour of a mare that was my best friend and companion, I took her name.

“HeyYouNags” is what I find myself yelling periodically, when I see the little darlings eating fences, chewing on trees, running in front of the tractor, or otherwise disrespecting the little corner of paradise I work so hard to maintain for them.
Nylar was the horse I was leasing (my first horse really) when I got the internet. I just KNEW that it would work as a screenname for things since it was so weird.
My brother gave me my username - he was trying to get me to stop lurking and decided to create a username for me, except that when he went to use our old horse’s name, he found it was taken, so had to think fast.
Apparently the night before he had been watching one of those Richard Attenborough nature programs, and it happend to be about puffins. I guess it just popped into his mind when filling out the COTH form.
and voila! here I am
Bump - 'cause old threads are fun!
i like Appaloosas. but not the spotted QH types. So my username is Nezzy for Nez Perce Indians( native Americans) bc of the way they bred them.
ByTheBook because I am a horse nerd. I collect horse books, particularly old (pre-1800’s) training manuals that I find on ebay and from collectors. I have always been accused of doing things, “By the book,” with the horses and that’s why I picked it as my username.
Lady Eboshi: In Japanese an eboshi is a “black hat” worn by Shinto priests, nobles, and samurai. The anime character of the same name in Princess Mononoke is an outspoken badass with a soft heart inside.
Wow, this is an old one! “vxf111” was my userid I was issued in college! I started college the year this thread was started!
Flowersmom2 was from when my kids were growing up and I got my horse, so I was his mom also.
Dani (short for Danielle) and I was born on March 3 (03/03). Boring…
My heart horse was a registered paint who was 7/8 thoroughbred. Looking at her papers, a friend of mine who re-trains ottbs remarked “she’s a thoroughbred, in color!”. Between her build and her spunk (and extreme need for speed), she certainly never fit in with the short, mutton withered, downhill paints that are a dime a dozen around here. If not for the tobiano markings, you’d have never known she wasn’t 100% tb.
Mine is the initials of a gelding I owned when I joined the COTH board- Skips Last Warrior/SLW.
My first OTTB was Belmont, racename Windshift. The first time I rode him was a fox hunt in Belmont, NV. We decided the name fit him. His barn name was Monty, which was a great fit.
CV are the initials of the town I live in. And I am a Peg…
Shadyside was one of my favorite boarding barns years ago and I ride Trakehners. So I am a Shadytrake! I’ve had it forever.
