Mine is easy, it was the Jockey club name of my TB. It is also a city in France, which his breeder and his wife like to visit.
“222orchids” is in honor of my mother. Her birthday is Feb. 22, and before she became fully disabled by Alzheimer’s she grew and loved orchids. She is 89 now and still the most lovely lady.
I’m the female death-spirit that walks without feet. Obviously.

When I joined COTH back in the day, I didn’t realize it was a bad idea to use your horse’s name as a user name. So I did. Well, his show name anyway.
My first horse’s real name is Quanah Parker, and he’s a very naughty large paint pony. Famously naughty, in fact. Everyone who knows him has a story about the day Quanah did whatever to whomever. So, being married to a musician, the show name was a no-brainer.
My horse is a paint. He is huge and only has two small white spots (other than his legs) and one is hidden under his mane and the other on top of his tall rump so easy to miss.
Mine is pretty universally understood among us horse people.
I can tell from reading some of the old entries that some usernames have changed. Like “Ethan and Ella’s Mom” said that her user name was “because I ride in the Adult Amateur division”. I’m guessing that explanation doesn’t go with that name! Could be a real adventure, I might start from page 1!
My username (pronounced Josie) is because Josie was taken. Josie is my nickname and universal (when available) username. It’s from Josie and the Pussycats, because I’m a crazy cat lady.

I thought I answered this back in the day… But I guess not.
Mine was given to me by a stage manager back in college. It was the very beginnings of wide spread email usage, I needed a non-university email, and couldn’t come up with one. I was an equine science/tech theatre double major, and working props on the show he was stage managing at the time, and so he set me up with “Propspony”
It stuck, I still like it, and it still fits.
Mine is pretty obvious - Miss Mare’s registered name - and not very creative. I do use it as an email address and when I informed friends about the new address one told me it sounded like a stripper name.

I trail ride and I live in Wyoming = riding in wyoming. I know - I’m not very imaginative.
