I asked for a secondhand Sony Handycam so Mr. Zuzu’s Petals can shoot my re-rider progress (or lack thereof.) Mr. ZP seemed distinctly less than enthused about this demand. I mean, suggestion. Who wouldn’t want to stand there and record lessons and such?
Well… I pre-gifted myself a new manure fork
Justified by how much better it works compared to the old gap-toothed, duct-taped relic it replaced.
Cheap R Us - I still have my Frankenbroom:
Handle from one duct-taped to the head from another. That still sweeps acceptably
came early for us, the weanling we bought was delivered to us at Nationals. Since he was there and there was no age limit on showing him in hand as a sport horse (which he is to be) he was entered in the sport horse in hand class against older proven stock… he won the class as 4.5 month old… scored so high against 20 total head that he also won the world championship making him possibly and most likely the youngest Morgan world champion ever.
Horse IS nice, acts much older than is age
I requested a new manure shovel. Lol
Also a saddle pad, leathers, boots, horse blankets and brushes.
There is a package from Riding Warehouse under my tree. Hurry up Christmas.
I informed DH that he purchased a wool dress sheet
I informed DH that he bought me a pair of riding pants. Win-win.
An equicore band and some breeches!
An LL Bean jacket for me and a Rhino Wug for my older guy. I was thinking earlier today of many Christmases past when I got a new saddle, Ariat winter boots (still have and wear 10 later), tack trunks and all sorts of goodies. The older I get the less I want or need anymore though. Still love some fun horse stuff at Christmas. I think if I get a new riding mount in 2023, next years list may expand
This is the way to do it for those that exchange gifts! DH and I are stopping at stockings this year, we generally buy whatever we need ourselves.
But SANTA? Santa is bringing me some new calming supplement to try for my mare and a swinging blanket arm so I can dry blankets at home without having to drape them all over the dining chairs
I grabbed a Rhino wug over thanksgiving week and love it!!
Santa will be bringing a Noble 4 in 1 blanket system, Muck Boots and Duluth mittens !!
Santa also was early to this house…one of the new LeMeiux turnout sheets and 250g liner.
Came early here, a Dyson, very strong sucking, light weight sweeper with battery.
No more cord.
Perfect for mucking!
I gifted myself a handicam a couple of years ago. I bought a cheap tripod and set it up in the corner of the arena. Records everything but one corner (could get that if I had a place outside to put it). On the plus side, no helper needed and no seasickness from wobbles and weird zooming. On the negative side, we look really small at the far end!
I discovered that Santa operates a North Pole annex located at Riding Warehouse.
“Santa” (my DH) built a turnout shed for one of my paddocks for me for Christmas.
I pre-gifted myself 6 new horse blankets, an expensive bit, a bridle, 2 new pairs of riding tights, a helmet, and a pair of muck boots (don’t judge me, I had a rough few months at work and self-medicated with retail therapy, most of it was long overdue purchases).
The recipient horse of 2 of the blankets, the expensive bit, and the bridle repaid me with a cancer diagnosis from the vet.
For the tack room, but is so nice, I think it will stay in the house.
Im getting an Equi Core and a pair of Ego7 dress boots
Im so sorry your baby is sick
