What’s on your wishlist this holiday season?

I bought myself a new helmet (needed) and some saddle pads for my horse.

I think I need a new pair of half chaps. My Ariat half chaps are starting to rip. :frowning: Anyone recommend some decently price half chaps? I usually buy Ariats but I’m open to suggestions. I prefer leather.

New custom saddle for my girl

I’d love a cheap (but leather) western saddle for my angel of a mare.
One can dream!

I have beaten the snot out of my tredsteps and they keep on ticking! When they do die, I’ll replace them like in kind.

Tack of the Day is having a Tredstep sale, if you can wait on shipping.
My Tredstep Galway Gaiters are decades old, but not used daily anymore, but held up really well.

I put a pair of Tingleys over them so the elastic strap under my foot doesn’t get dirty/wet and rot.
The rubbers come off regularly to clean underneath.

My “dreaming big” picks would be an air vest and new stirrups, but I could never in a million years actually ask for those, they’re $$$$, and I would feel so greedy and disrespectful.

Realistically I’m a very good gift giver but a bad gift receiver—aka if I see something I like and it’s not extremely expensive, I just buy it  so by the end of the year my wishlist isn’t very extensive.

I do have an EcoGold XC pad, new reins, and a new jump girth on there, plus a few odds and ends (sun shirts, etc).

I’m mostly excited to have time off from work to eat snacks and hang out with my family

Le Mieux saddle pads. So beautiful. So expensive.

Bought myself one as a treat for selling my tough horse. Use it on the new horse and wow he looks great in purple

They do have sales a few times a year… that’s when I try to get some new LeMieux gear! Right now they have 50% off Sienna (orange colour). https://www.lemieux.com/ca/outlet-07/sienna

I also use leather Tredsteps and they last forever. Sometimes a button pops off, but it can be easily replaced at the cobbler.

Well Fager was having a sale and I snagged a bit similar to the one I tried on my mare recently for half off. So that is one thing checked off the list!

One thing I think I’m going to do is finish converting my greenhouse into a tackroom (it never got enough sun at the time of year I needed it anyway. So siding and corrugated roofing are on the list. Hopefully the weather cooperates and I can get this done when I’m on leave next week.

If I can sell off some stuff at the upcoming tack sale, I’ll be able to buy the rest of my wish list except the Bemer!

I just had to replace our very old dishwasher. I went with a Samsung from Costco and couldn’t be happier.

A couple of months of training for my young horse.
My outdoor needs the footing redone in a serious way; it’s also unleveled itself and big rocks are migrating to the surface (thanks, New England!).
A new winter coat.

I would love something from this collection:

A sound, rideable horse.

Looks like my list is growing. I’ve realized I only have one pair of reins I actually like anymore (my Nunn Finer pebble grip) and now have two horses being ridden (we won’t talk about how many bridles I have ….). I’m thinking about getting some of the calfskin lined 2in stops Tota Comfort Reins (and maybe their pebble grip too) as they are on sale. I’d just love to know what color they come in before ordering but can’t seem to get an answer on that. I also ordered a QHP Sunna bitless bridle for the WB after another thread about her evading the bit. I haven’t used it yet but am pleasantly surprised with the quality for under $100, appreciate the fact that it can be used as a Sidepull or a Dr Cook cross over style or a cross under the jaw style, and it’s a plus that it came with a sparkly browband. Now I want one in cob fo

I asked Santa for heated gloves and sheepskin insoles for myself. Big ticket items: new fence.

For the horses, I have no clue, following for suggestions. The pony gets a years worth of Prascend.

My dogs are getting a 50 lb box of chews to split. And new barn cats are getting a heated house.
