I have the pony version of this and it’s amazing. Fennells used to make a lower cost version that’s still really nice.
Edit: not Fennells but Winner Circle. It’s very nice for the money. https://www.wcircle.com/inc/sdetail/16654

For you?
Are you in the US? (Nevermind, I see you are. 🤦)
I’ve discovered Thredup, and have gotten myself some very nice, cheap, high quality clothes for the barn
The Winner’s Circle one is nice too!!
A group of my middle school IEA students asked me what I wanted for Christmas. My response was “a peaceful lesson” they said “sorry, that’s not gonna be possible”
After Covid lockdowns, a torn meniscus and displaced fracture, shite weather, and then aggravating original knee injury, I just want to ride.
I rate the WOW free space girths, they’re amazing
Adorable!
You must’ve been very, very good for Santa to bring you such a cutie.
Thank you. He literally showed up at my door step. Santa must have been giving him too many cookies bc he’s a tad hefty.
My gift depends on me. I want to take lessons regularly, which for me means every three weeks or so. My current average is about two a year. I’m lucky to board at a barn with a wonderful French classical dressage trainer so I’m learning things a bit differently than with another trainer I’ve had many years ago.
My pony is very cute so he doesn’t really need anything special. Everyone spoils him.
Can I get her body?
What’s really on my list is a pony roadster bike w/shiny undercarriage and pristine paint.
I always have such a list of things I want. Most to least
Stubben equisoft
Posture prep
Thinline oversized reins
Millbrook no noseband bridle
Hayplay full bake slow feeder
Fager eggbutt
Trust inno sense slim d ring
Super breathable fetlock boots
Coat defense powder
Le mieux and Stockholm green saddle pad - all the green of every shade. All so beautiful
Back up pair of stock brown field boots
A friend is loaning me an equisoft and is willing to give me a great deal if mare likes it and the bridle/reins are approaching a mandatory replacement so I see that happening.
If I can decide on the trust vs fager bit I might do one Black Friday but gosh it’s hard to eat that kind of money over a bit that expensive even on sale if she hates it.
@GraceLikeRain if it helps, SmartPak carries some of the Fager bits. They only carry the most popular ones, definitely not the entire collection, but if they have the one you’re interested in you can always return it if your horse doesn’t like it. That’s the only reason I pulled the trigger on trying one for my horse. He ended up loving it, which is great, but returning bits to SmartPak is super easy if it doesn’t work out.
That is awesome to know about SP’s return policy for bits - I had no idea. I’ll likely (hopefully) need to find a legal bit for my horse who has gone in a Sweet Billy’s leather bit for years (why can’t leather be legal for dressage WHY) so may end up using that info! I know Mary’s tack does trials for most of their bits but I’m not sure if they stock Fager or not. FWIW - Fager has a good selection in their Sale category. I got a bit for $50 (normally over $120) from their Sale section and am quite happy with it.
What is the new pony’s name! Super CUTE!!
His name is Honcho! Thank you!
That is the perfect name for a him.
Hunky Handsome Honcho.
I once had a lunging cavesson made out of nylon rather than leather, that might come in at about that price. I wonder if anyone makes them anymore?
I can’t decide if I want an air vest or not. I’m not getting any younger, and falling off gets less and less fun each time it happens. Though it doesn’t happen very often, and I hate the idea of having to pay for a new canister for a minor fall (or when I inevitably forget to unclip from my saddle).
That my horse still in Washington will sell.
