What's the story behind your bb name?

I have never owned any car besides a Jeep. Had a Wrangler for 7+ years, and have had two Grand Cherokees since then.

I’m not very creative. 2Traks = 2 Trakehners.

North Carolinians are also know generally as “tarheels” (though note that this is due to this story and not a comment on what college you went to…) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s sports teams are also the tarheels. I’m a Carolina girl born, raised, & doubly educated. I’ll graduate from med school at UNC-CH in 2007 – thus tarheelmd07

I got my bb name from when I lived in Japan… My English name was always difficult for my Japanese friends to pronounce so I asked them to give me a Japanese name… it was Cherry Blossom season… hence Sakura. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

So you didn’t get it from a cartoon show with a pink haired girl?!

Oh how boring I am…I am a girl living in Alabama…sad, I know, but I plan to move…will be changing my handle then, for sure, good buddy…Just wonder, wether I should take Bandit, Snowman or Daisy Duke…

RR,
I just finished reading all the favorite $700 pony threads, and you had me in tears! You’re just so clever and great with words

I beg of you, when is the next installment coming? Is the darling pony still at the fancy schmany place?

You totally made my day yesterday with your tales

My horse’s registered name is DDA Shaq, so I just use it for most things including my email. I find it much easier to remember than anything else. He is my horsey soul mate so each time I see it I smile.

My name is Joanne but my nickname is Josie (OK, yes, it’s from Josie and the Pussycats because I’m a cat fanatic – a co-worker years ago started calling me Josie and it stuck).

When I joined this board, “Josie” was taken though I’ve never seen the name used. I shortened it to JoZ and I kind of like it. In fact, I created my (probably never to be used) personal brand from it!

Mine’s boring, I used my horse’s show name.

hunter princess, because the owner at the barn called my horse a prince and since he is a hunter and a prince I am his hunter princess.

YoungFilly comes from the fact that I purchased my then “filly” as a 2yr old. YoungFilly fit!

Sannois - yeah I knew that
can we say my sense of humor can be a tad dark?

My little 5ac farmette, not a dog on the place, named after a favorite joke of my late DH
I was gonna call it Bought The Farm… a friend suggested this instead

*Irish Rose = my old low children’s hunter

I couldn’t think of anything.

When I was little, my mom used to (lovingly ) refer to me as Tallulah, or Lula.

I didn’t want to make my bb name Tallulah/have any reference to any of Demi Moore’s children. LulaBell just sort of seemed to roll off the tongue, I guess.

If I’d had a horse/pony as a child (or now!) it would have definitely had something to do with that. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

LulaBell- my mare’s name is Lola and I somehow got to calling her “LolaBell” and the only justified way I could have thought of that was from your name. I love it, I’d change my user name to that but I’m sure people would get us confused, ha ha!

EDITED TO ADD- Oh, and my user name is the name of the Indian tribe who once resided in the area of Cape Cod where my family’s Cape house is. I’ve always loved the word, and my future farm name could be “Nauset Farm”. Maybe!

Well, mine is simple. My horse who, you guessed it, is a Paint and he looks just like a pony in the winter when he’s all fuzzy. But, now that I have my new Paint mare who I think actually IS a pony. I haven’t sticked her, but I think she’s only 14.3 3/4…so it really fits for her!

Windy Isles - is the name of our farm.

We initially wanted to name it Windy Day Farm - after a extremely special stallion that we owned for 10 years in Ireland (Connemara people you know who Windy Day is ^.~ sire of *Kilfenora Windy Isles among other great ponies).

But we found out Windy Day farm was already taken.

So we named it Windy Isles farm (Windy because we’re near Chicago the “Windy City” and Isles because Ireland is known as the “Emerald Isles” plus in a way we can still honor Windy Day ^__^)

so Windy Isles Farm it is and hence my BB name is Windy Isle

Mine’s not very original, but is kind of a pun in my weird eventer, head injury kind of way - first as event-able, as in ready and willing to event, but also as even-table, because eventing is like that and it’s one of those sports that’s a great leveller. Anyways, I now have a bunch of people who just call me Table. I’m not sure how that fits, since I have two legs and I’m not square, but they seem to like it.

mine is simple… because Pugs Rule… when he snors it puts me to sleep, poor hubby when he snors he gets kicked.
