Jane Carter Ware is not currently showing (or riding for that matter) because she injured her back (broke/compressed discs I believe). Decided after not having ridden in some months to take one of her retired hotheaded jumpers on a trail ride when he hadn’t been worked in a year. New groom didn’t think it was her place to tell Jane this ride was perhaps a bad idea. Didn’t tell anyone where she was going. They found her hours later trying to crawl back to the barn. Makes life with a two month old baby you’re breast feeding realllllly hard.

your right! I bought my wife a picture of her
over fences and the judge and gazeebo was in the
background. when i showed it to Mark he recognized
the judge. If i have this right it was at the local show , not the “a” show

Jeff is still around the area and has some nice clients and horses.

Joe is training up North at some big-name barn.

Jan is my trainer and is partners with Eric Dirks. I’ve been with Jan for 20 years now! I guess that says quite a bit!

Duffy, when did you ride for Debbie…at Keswick or Little Hawk?

I spoke with her parents the other day and wrote Debbie a letter as well. The last time I spoke with her was well over ten years ago. I knew she was in real estate and heard that she worked a little bit with Nellie Cox at Rose Retreat Farm. She has also judged a few shows as well.

I’m hoping to stop in and see her when I visit back east this fall.

I was told at Old Salem Horse Show last week that Francesca was riding at one of the therapudic programs and doing pretty well.
After the extent of her injuries, this sounded to me like she was moving in a positive direction.

Well, this certainly explains the lengthy defensive posts on the “Tackshops: Voting With your Feet” thread. You must have KNOWN it was Horse Country I was referring to when I was complaining that it took over 11 months to get a simple coat from an overpriced tack shop!

I can certainly understand why Jane shops at the Tack Box.
